After buying and returning several adapters - to use with my Bose Headset with my Panasonic Cordless handset for phone calls -

I found the perfect product. I connected the 2.5 male end into my Panasonic handset and the 3.5 female end to my bose headphone plug.

I made a call and the conversation was crystal clear and the mic worked perfectly. Also the voice was heard on both headphones..

This is the best adapter . I highly recommend this and I have ordered one more right away.

This works perfectly as an XBOX 360 microphone. The 2.5mm jack plugs directly into the controller and the length of the cord is perfect to clip to the collar of a t-shirt. The sensitivity of the mic is also perfect for gaming... even with the TV turned up pretty loud, the sound from the TV alone isn't enough to trip the VOX, and neither is a low voice from me... but if I speak with a medium volume, like when I'm totally destroying people in Call of Duty and feel the need to let them know how I awesome am, it comes on. There is no "on/off" switch for the mic, it's always "on" and you just need to figure out for yourself how loud you can turn up the TV and how loudly you have to speak so you're not hot-mic'd all the time. I almost always play with headphones on anyways so it's just a matter of how loud to talk. You will have no regrets with this mic as a standalone XBOX mic. I have not tried plugging in headphones to the 3.5 jack on the mic because I didn't buy it for that, I use a standalone amplifier and a good pair of Sennheisers.

was excited to finally get an adpator that has voice and audio. the only problem is the male part is not quite long enough and I have to press really hard for the adaptor to connect with the hand phone. Now I have tape, taping the adaptor in snuggly. I also ordered a 2.5mm headset just encase. I hope that it works better.
otherwise the audio is great and people can hear me great as well. I just have tape wrapped around my phone and adaptor making it look very unprofessional.

I purchased two of these. One had a bad connection on the male end. The other one had a broken wire in the female end. Since I work on small electronics I pulled apart the female housing to fix the broken wire. I saw a small jumper between the right and left speaker connections. Putting mono on left and right speakers is not stereo. Nice try. Correct me if i'm wrong but you need a male end with three rings to give you stereo with a mic. Left, right, mic and ground. These were cheap so who cares but as a review I have to say this product is worthless.

When I was looking for an adapter and read reviews, there was some fuss about the mic part not working with many adapters. But not with this little thing, mic works great. I clip it on my shirt and plug in regular headphones, which I roll up and put in my shirt so I don't have wires every where, then I am good to go. Button for answering/ending call and launching voice commands works great -I don't even have to open phone at all.

The volume control does not function. It definitely clips into the phone jack for which it was intended. It is very difficult to hear using the clip on microphone. But it is definitely not worth the trouble. Would not recommend this purchase.

This is a great product if you do not like buying a particular headset for your phone and would rather use a pair of high quality stereo headphones instead. The microphone is crystal clear and the button functions perfectly with the phone functionality such as answering and making calls through the phones messaging options. The only downside of this product is the casing is rather fragile. During a plane trip I managed to lose the clip that holds the microphone on your shirt and also the casing comes apart fairly easy. I would suggest a small dab of glue and at least not have to worry about that anymore. Otherwise this is an excellent product that I will continue to use for many years into the future.

As one of those who listen to a lot of music on their phone this item is ideal if you have a 2.5mm jack, but want to use your 3.5mm headphones. Its also handy if you have earbuds/earphones with a short lead (15-20"). I haven't used the Microphone on/off feature.

There are more elegant solutions on the market (philips SHH series) but they're 4 or 5 times the price. This is great value for money.
