Editorial Reviews

Review

Though the series may be no more, fans of the hilariously unhinged program can finally find out the truth about the rise and fall of 'Classic Game Room.' Classic reviews of such games as Frogger, Duck Hunt, and Yar's Revenge highlight this nostalgic look back at the beer-soaked Internet start-up series that never took itself too seriously. --Jason Buchanan, "All Movie Guide"

Product Description

Classic Game Room was the first classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999 and 2000. It returns as a feature-length comedy film about the triumphant story of online success, failure, obscurity, resurrection and success again!

The legendary show was produced in the early days of online video by Mark Bussler and David Crosson at an Internet startup with one camera, a green screen and $50 budgets. The show was objective, entertaining and obnoxious with beer-drinking, bottle-throwing, joystick-slinging, car-crashing classic game reviews. A cult following developed and the reviews kept coming, but how long could it last until the money ran out? Features the original raucous reviews of Duck Hunt for NES, Alien for Atari 2600, X-Men for Sega Genesis, Sega GT for Dreamcast, Joust and Missile Command for Playstation, Frogger for Atari 2600, SeaMan for Dreamcast, Perfect Dark for Nintendo 64 and Yars' Revenge for Atari 2600.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best video game review show of it's time, November 4, 2009
By B. Zinkofsky (Los Angeles, CA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
"This has got to be for me the greatest video game review show that I have seen for it's time. It was funny and great but sadly I was not there when it first premiered back then in 1999-2000 because I was only about 6-7 years old back then and my computer back then had Windows 95 and was really slow. I recommend this for people who like video games in their entertainment and I would highly recommend it to anyone that likes old classic video games and comedy." Except the only problem I have with this is that amazon.com is charging you $[...] for this. Go to [...] and get it $[...] cheaper.
