These are OK (they serve their purpose) but I have to say I prefer the KECO brand much better.

The KECO brand looks more like terra cotta but these hold more water.

If you want it to look like terra cotta go with the KECO brand, if you need them to hold water in reserve go with these.

With all our plants, we've accumulated many saucers for under our plant pots. Many have a series of ridges to hold the pot off the flat bottom affording room for over watering to escape the pot. This saucer does not have any form of ridges so I had to put some marbles under the pot to afford the needed drainage. Not a big deal since the fix is so easy, but it would have been nice not to need to do anything. Maybe I'm just picking or lazy.:)

This did what I had intended it to do.I have a large number of Cymbidium orchids and I needed a platform to put their pots on. They need to drain, they don't like their feet wet, and these pots work out just great.

I like these so much that I am going to buy more. The reason I like them is because they don't bend when I am picking them up on both sides. I use pots that are smaller, considerably, only because I want to see how much I need to adjust my watering schedules so as to avoid overwatering. What using a smaller pot does in such big saucers like these is that with a cheaper saucer (read: more flimsy), I would have a bendable saucer. NOT with these saucers, these hold firm when I pick my plants and saucers up all at once. These are a great option for anyone wanting decent saucers under their plants. Cheap price, too!

I recommend it!

(Aug 3, 2013 edit): I just bought 8 more of these because they are so useful and they do what they are designed to. Also, since the interior surface of these is smooth, thereby making it is easier for me to turn my flower pots so that they can retrieve sunlight on all sides of the plant throughout the week. Way Cool Junior!!!

The saucer I received is not the one pictured. The one I received is about the same dimension, however it has a couple of inner ridges that make it hard for my terra cotta flower pot to sit in it in a balanced way. I am keeping it because it is not worth sending back. Just do wish it was like the one pictured.
