Excellent Product, Slightly Older Technology

This Intel 4-port Gigabit Ethernet card is an excellent addition to any server or machine that needs additional interfaces. This card is detected by VMWare (as well as many other Windows, Linux, and BSD-based operating systems) without any additional drivers or configuration. Mine shipped with both the half-height and full-height brackets for mounting to the case.

Performance is very good on this, but note that this is an older card made by Intel. Newer cards support VMDq and other virtualization features that this card doesn't. If you need the absolute highest performance, consider one of the newer cards from Intel.

Edit: This works with VMware ESXi 5.5/5.5u1 as I mention in the comments.

Wow.... this card, damn... this price! And great support on top of that from the seller.

This card is excellent! Works without a problem in pfsense, and all 4 interfaces are found immediately.
I am using this card in a custom router setup for my home and it is easily handling the traffic of near 120 meg down, and lots of traffic between a few dozen computers. Yes, a lot of this is handled by the actual routing software or the switches down the line, but I am very pleased at how little I have to worry about the card because no matter what I have tried with my current setup, the card is always up for it.

The price is also excellent. A couple hundred dollars lower than anywhere else I found it. And even for the higher price, this card is worth it.

Finally, the seller is one of the best customer support experiences I have had on amazon/ebay ever. I needed a half mount for this card to put in a small case I have my router running in, but when I ordered this card, or the similar 2 port intel card I have in use somewhere else, I forgot to ask to have the half mount bracket included in the order (Seriously, do not forget to ask if you need the half mount). I sent the seller a message and I got a call back from him to help me get what I need. We organized it so that he would throw the brackets I forgot to ask for in with another product I was ordering from his ebay page for free. Excellent seller. Actually cares about customer satisfaction.

This is a great card, and a great experience doing business with AMTECH. Would buy again! (Also check out their ebay page)

The one I received was an older version of the ...

The one I received was an older version of the PRO/1000 which was not compatible with new UEFI BIOS taken from an IBM Server.
I was not able to use this card in the system I wanted to us it it in. It did work in a 7 year old Dell, but not a 1 year old ASUS motherboard.

Easy install, extensive driver support, both standard and low profile brackets provided

So far working great
Using in my pfsense appliance
Mine shipped with both standard and low profile brackets.
I cannot speak to Intel® I/OAT as this is running in AMD AM3 based system.
It does run a bit hot for my liking with the heat-sink only (37c/98f) although official specs do show it max at 55c so its not really that hot for its capabilities.

I will still find a fan or other alternate way to cool it though as my personal preference is to run cooler.

Works well but did not come with full size bracket.

Driver installed automatically. Works well. However, mine did NOT come with both brackets. Mine only came with the short bracket so I am having to work around that. I intend to contact the company the actually supplied this card through Amazon and see if I can get a full sized bracket.

Card is not recognized by none of the latest motherboards ...

Card is not recognized by none of the latest motherboards from ASUS and Intel.
When cable is plugged in only one port light was showing LINK light. Other 3 ports were dark.
Driver installation fails with message: No network card detected. (or something like that).

UPDATE:
After troubleshooting with seller, it was clear that card is not compatible with PCI 2.0. If there is no settings in BIOS to change PCI to 1.0a format from 2.0 or 3.0, card will not work.

I was a bit concerned that I may have driver issues but Ubuntu recognized the hardware and installed the driver I needed without issue.
