After reading the reviews for this product, I expected the world when I paid $16 for a stick of antiperspirant. Don't get me wrong, it's a great product, but it's not going to work any miracles, and it's not exactly what I'd call unusually effective.

In terms of scent, it smells like Speed Stick: Lite Edition. And I mean the old Speed Stick, which I always thought smelled pretty decent. It lacks the heavy muskiness of other male deodorants, but it definitely has a smell, and that smell is decidedly manly. Now, that smell doesn't travel very far (I don't notice it when I'm wearing it), so I doubt anyone who isn't sniffing your underarms will notice it in the first place.

In terms of perspiration prevention, it works well. Better than most non-heavy duty deodorants out there. You need a single pass, and that should protect even the sweatiest guy. I've experienced no irritation (I have sensitive skin), and never had it get to the "goopy" state some more popular stick deodorants do when your underarms get hot and humid.

However, you'll still get that sort of "sour/spoiled" smell at the end of the day if you've been wearing a suit or long sleeve button up - but I haven't found a deodorant yet which can prevent that. I'd give this deodorant 5 stars for packaging, scent, and performance, but I'm knocking one for the price - I don't think it's quite worth $16.

This deodorant is ridiculously effective. The Jack Black website suggests that you only use one swipe per underarm, and boy are they right. Using more may cause slight irritation and also leave a visible white residue. So don't do that. It would be like gargling a gallon of mouthwash every morning - it will work but it will be uncomfortable and is totally unnecessary anyway.

But your average drugstore brands are also pretty effective, and also considerably cheaper, so why buy this one? Primarily a) so you don't smell like a drugstore brand and b) so you don't smell like much of anything, because this deodorant doesn't have a strong scent. Those things are worth a couple extra bucks to me.

My pits are sensititive!! They even cried while watching the movie Elf and it's not even sad. So it is tough finding something that doesn't upset my disgusting pits. Fortunately, I found this deodorant.

I have tried every kind of antiperspirant/deodorant you can image and I have never been happy with my choice. The natural ones left me too stinky and sweaty. The harsher brands would irritate me and leave me smelling like the Jersey Shore. I even tried one that was as hard as a rock and never wore out, but it gave me a fungal thing.. I have never found something that I was happy with until now.

First, this deodorant isn't overly strong smelling. I am not a fan of a huge perfumey odor and this does not have one. Next, this goes on very clear and does not get all over my clothes. The last and biggest thing is it doesn't irritate me. I do get a little sweaty under my arms at times and I am a little ripe at the end of the day. But I expect those things because I work a hard job.

This is definitely going to be my deodorant of choice from now on.

I have rather serious allergies, and everything makes me break out in hives. I've been a use of a competing product for almost 30 years. But, it leaves white streaks on my clothes. I'm tired of looking like the chalk stripe on "CSI". So, I gave this a try and was happy that it was not only as effective as the other product, but - no more looking like a victim on the sidewalk. Although it does destroy my chances of Mariska Hargitay looming over me, this does smell better and it's nicer to my clothes.

I was hesitant to purchase this item because of the price but I've been using it for a few weeks and I am actually very impressed. I use a few other Jack Black products and this antiperspirant/deodorant has the same smell albeit lighter. I previously used drugstore brand antiperspirant/deodorant and none of them seemed to really work for me. Old Spice has an incredibly strong scent; some others leave white residue; and some other MAX STRENGTH products don't really perform like you would expect.

After using this product a few times, I noticed my pits weren't sweating when they normally would. I don't notice any white residue, and the scent is unobtrusive. It's everything I want in an antiperspirant/deodorant. The price is expensive but I have read some reviews that the product lasts for some time. Let me see how long it lasts and then I will update this review.

For now, I would say give the product a try and I think you will be impressed too.

Though he typically does not have a problem with perspiration, his office has an air conditioning vent that never works, and we live in Florida.
