With the Industrial user in mind, Amana Tool has designed saw blades that feature many characteristics to prolong the life of the blade, while maintaining a beautiful clean cut time after time. Among the many features are a massive tool steel plate with laser-cut expansion slots allowing the blade to expand and contract from heat preventing warpage, Copper Plugs to reduce noise and vibration during operation, Extra large Proprietary carbide tips providing more resharpenings and longer blade life, tension rings to maintain the blades straightness under stress of operation and large gullets for greater chip clearance. When cutting acrylics, polycarbonates and other plastics, a melting of the plastics is a concern. But not with the Non Melt blade. With a Modified Triple Chip grind and a 2 Degree negative hook angle, the blade produces less heat than a standard blade, leaving a crisp, smooth edge.
