This slide is functional, but it has no weight. It feels like it's made from plastic and it's very light, which seems to cause a lack of tonal quality. I do like that it is actually a "Pinky" slide and you don't have to wear it on your middle finger, but it could use a little more weight. I used to have a pinky slide from back in the day (disappeared from the top of my amp one night) and the Johnny Winter pinky slide is the first I've seen in some time. Just wish it was a little heavier.

As mentioned elsewhere it is lighter weight than I expected ( tho I had given No thought about weight whatsoever ) It fits small finger fine. Packaged well and as described.. I'm still a beginner to a degree so I can't give a solid review as I'm not good enough to produce its real sound yet . For the price and being a lifelong Johnny fan how could I Not buy it...

I didn't like it at first. ...it only goes halfway down your pinky which felt weird to me. It felt like it might fly off. I was used to a heavier slide that covered my whole finger. But after Johnny Winter died I thought I'd give it another try. Now... I LOVE IT! It stays on my finger with no problems. The main reason I like it is the smaller size of this slide seems to make it easier to be more accurate in hitting the notes (as compared to a larger, wider slide). I just bought 2 more! I'm hooked. Thanks Johnny! R.I.P.
