There were no reviews for this case but I took a chance and bought it and I'm glad I did. It's light and yet so solid that I tested it -- I weigh 170 lbs. and I stood on the [empty] case. It was fine.

It's a hard plastic shell with an aluminum interlocking edge that goes all the way around where the lid meets the body. There are metal hinges on one side and three metal buckles on the other. Inside it has a plush black lining that fits a Telecaster well, with no moving around when the case is closed. There's a one foot long groove inside that supports the guitar's neck, instead of some cases where the neck rests on one narrow point. It has feet on the side and bottom, and will stand on end too, though not perfectly straight.

On the negative side, on mine two of the buckles required a small adjustment to get them to close firmly into place without
rattling. The handle is plain hard plastic. And the two small storage areas on either side of the neck don't have lids, but they do seal shut when the case is closed.

I had ordered a $50 Musician's Gear electric guitar case from Musician's Friend, but it arrived damaged and it was flimsy so I sent it back. This is built way better and looks nicer too. For some reason Amazon only has one photo of this online but if you search there are more pics on other sites.

(EDIT: After about three years of use one of the feet popped out while the case was being transported in the front seat of my car, so now it has a small hole in the bottom and doesn't stand up straight. I'm sure it's fixable but it's a pain to have to drag it to the luggage repair shop. Still, it's a good case otherwise.)

I bought a new fender telecaster in December and after a few weeks I suddenly realized I didn't have a case. I have many guitars and cases for the ones I gig with. I started looking for a case and I thought oh wow these things are expensive. Like $100 expense. I just want something to carry it in that way it won't get broke. I found this case and it was cheaper than the rest so I bought it. When I first got it I was amazed how good it looked. Not only did the outside look great but so did the inside. It even has a look and two keys. Very convenient if I can say. It has a few compartments in the inside to keep strings, picks, etc. Overall it is a GREAT buy. I would for sure recommend it. In fact I already have!

I love this case, I bought it for a cheap price and it's good quality for a little under $100. The only catch is that I was sent the "strat" shaped case instead of the universal shaped case. Luckily my guitar is a strat shaped guitar, but be wary if your guitar is not!

This is a solidly built case but I have to agree with the previous reviewer. Amazon sent me a case with the Strat-shaped guitar slot instead of the Universal guitar slot. See my uploaded pictures. I bought this case on the premise of seeing Amazon's photo and the mostly positive reviews from persons who got the case pictured. Please don't give me flack for my 2-star review of a good product. The 2-star is to temper all the positive reviews so you can decide to purchase based on the fact you might get a case you did not expect. If you have a Strat than you will probably be very happy.

I am very satisfied with the looks and construction of this case. I bought it to store my Fender Telecaster in, and to transport it in my vehicles. I do't think I would feel secure checking it as luggage on an airplane but for the price it is a great little case.

Have read reviews indicating it is not sturdy enough, and granted if it is being giged and slung about certainly it could be damaged, but I find it to be more than adequate, and light years beyond a gig bag. I agree it would be nice to have covers over internal storage compartments, but things stay put for me, and the plush lining and fit are fine. Use it to store my strat and fit is perfect.
