After 7.5 years of service (June 2006 - January 2014) I am finally replacing this bag with another one. Pros: Looks grat. Zippers flawless. Leather durable. Still running and has another 10 years in it. CONS: the units I got in 2006 had black vinyl handle trim. Just the trim. Nothing else. After 4 years, the cracked vinyl bugged me and my hands. Made things sweaty and hurt to carry. Took it down to the local shoe repair place and they replaced the handles with leather ones for $25. Got 3 more great years of DAILY use, abuse, overstuffing, airports, checked, etc. The edge trim is vinyl, too, so corners have taken beating. It has not affected functionality and it gives it a true road-warrior look. Great bag. I'm about to buy another right now.

This is a terrific product. It is well made; very durable. Briefcases with internal pockets can be a pain in the neck for accessing items. The external pockets are a wonderful convenience and add to the nice look of the item. Those pockets are fairly rigid, which is a good consideration for durability as they won't stretch and sag, keeping the case nice looking. I've received many comments with this bag. Prior to purchasing it, I contemplated a $400 bag. What a waste that would have been. I am completely happy with it, and highly recommend it to you!!

Nice large bag. Leather is stiff and holds up more like a solid side briefcase. Holds documents without wrinkling. Holds a 17" laptop as well. Plenty of room. Wide enough for even a water bottle. The shoulder strap is well padded so you will not need to buy another one. Plenty of pockets on the outside for those items you need fast access to. Two major compartments. One with dividers and a velcro closure pocket. The other one has no dividers. There is also a pocket on the back that has two zippers. Upper and lower. It can double as a slide over for your suitcase handle or keep the lower zipper closed and use it as an additional storage pocket. Overall very good looking bag with a sturdy feel. I tried some canvas/leather bags but they always folded onto themselves and crumpled any documents I was carrying. Worth the extra money for a bag that appears will last a long time.

I looked high and low for a nice leather bag, and this one seemed to fit the bill. But the leather is so stiff that I wonder if it's really leather at all. I'm not talking about the rounded trim edges, which are obviously vinyl. No, this is the main material of the bag - it's just so stiff and grainy that I constantly look at it and wonder.

It fits my 15.4" laptop well, which is mainly what I wanted it for, so I can't complain. But it seems to have very little internal space otherwise, especially for a bag that's so big and clunky on the outside (reverse Tardis?). The nylon strap is also pretty cheap looking, and doesn't really match the look of the bag. I replaced it with a strap from another bag.

The bag I received differed slightly from the picture for this item. My bag has an extra fourth pocket on the bottom right of the front, while the picture only shows three pockets on the front. That was actually a pleasant surprise.

If I'd seen this item in person in a store, I'm not sure I would have bought it. The leather is just "off" looking.

I pondered over getting a Prada or Gucci then came across this product. At about 1/15 of the price, I'm quite satisfied and it serves my purpose, which is carrying bulky multiple-keys and conveniently slipping in my cell phone, with my laptop, and also I can slip in my coffee container on the right pocket which fits perfectly, and also a couple of thin office files. I am not a fan of made in china product, and I was somewhat pleasantly surprised to see it was not made in china. Anyway I am overall very satisfied with the product, and it doesn't look cheap so you will not be embarrassed to carry this around to any place. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it does not have any inside zippered pockets inside. Most people would be ok with it but I wish I could put something inside like my check books and SD card etc., that wouldn't fall out of the pocket.

Be careful, the statement "Back compartment padded to protect most laptops up to 17" in size" on the descriptions is a wrong one for the "new" 17" 6:9 screen laptop. I ordered it by mistake and returned. In fact I have been using this model for more than 3 years for my old 15" laptop and it is a durable and heavy-duty case. However, with normal daily usage, the shoulder strap hooks will be broken in 3 years. When you find something a little bit wrong with the hooks, be sure to replace the shoulder strap immediately before your laptop is dropped on the ground.

This is a great bag! Well made and easily fits my 14" laptop and iPad and tons of other items with no problem. My husband uses this (it doesn't fit his 17" Alienware laptop, but that is quite large.) It has a great shoulder/cross body for him and looks manly, not like he is carrying a chick bag. Ha! At any rate, it seems a nice leather and he hopes it lasts for years to come.
