People who buy hinges off of Amazon must be more of an expert than I am. I didn't understand the overlay concept, so I'm going to explain it for the other hinge idiots out there- a 1/4 inch overlay means that 1/4" of the door goes over the frame. This is exactly what I wanted! I was changing out the style of hinge on a Craigslist cabinet and couldn't quite get the doors right again- a larger overlay left a gap between the doors, which looks terrible btw. These hinges are sturdy, come 2 to a pack, and include matching screws. My cabinet looks awesome and the finish matches my HD oiled bronze knobs perfectly.

I ordered a pair of these and they would be perfect if it weren't for the lack of quality control. The machine brushing is done VERY poorly on the outside of the hinge that will be showing. There is a very uneven 'line' past which there is no brushing at all. Oddly enough, all of the faces that will not be seen because they will be against the cabinet are done very well. I requested a replacement pair, only to receive another pair that has the same issue. Because we are unable to find or order these hinges from a brick and mortar store, we're going to have to go ahead and buy these flawed ones and attempt to 'brush' the finish in ourselves. I am extremely disappointed to have to try to fix a new item. I also contacted Amerock directly twice to inquire about the problem, only to receive no response whatsoever from them. If I had another option, I would definitely NOT buy this flawed hinge.

Great value, solidity, and look. Too early yet to tell how these will hold up to daily use. If you are replacing full wrap hinges that use only a single screw into the cabinet frame, make sure you measure to drill the top of the two holes on these partial wrap hinges down far enough from the top of the cabinet opening to accommodate the clearance required by your drill. To save re-drilling the holes on the cabinet doors, do this before you mount the hinge on the cabinet doors. We installed a magnet on all doors to ensure that the doors will always fully close, even if eventually someone accidentally opens the hinge too far, or the self closing hinge mechanism simply weakens over time, as the original hinges we replaced did.

I've used this style of Amerock hinge on multiple cabinets and pieces of custom furniture I've made. The design is unobtrusive once installed, and rock solid in daily use. I much prefer these to much more expensive "euro" hinges that are complicated to setup and install, and tend to lose their position and fall out of adjustment over time.

This particular finish is hard to find locally, so I order from Amazon when needed. It matches Walnut very well.

I'm pretty disappointed with the finish of these. In the image, they appear like all other satin nickel finishes, but in person they are more of a rough-cast with cheap chrome. The overall look is much shinier than the image in Amazon. They look about like something I would put on cabinets in may garage, but certainly not in the house. The "satin" doesn't match any of the other satin nickel in the kitchen. It's really noticeable because the cabinet pulls are just a few inches from the hinges. At this price point I would expect the correct finish, and suspect that the seller is trying to present this as a higher end product than it is.

Chinese CRAP. Ultra thin and poorly constructed. Cabinets with glass doors sag after installation. Hinges don't fit to allow doors to close properly. Save yourself a lot of time ang trouble. I have to replace everything!

Our existing hinges were over 20 years old. This hinge is the exact size replacement which makes it alot easier to switchout the hinges. We went from a brass hinge to this oil rubbed bronze and are very satisfied with it. We got one set to try out and now we've ordered the other 17 set of hinges.

Amerock make quality hinges. These are no different. The brushed nickle looks beautiful against my dark espresso colored cabinets. I just recently refinished the cabinets and wanted new nickle hinges instead of the burnished brass that were on there.

Would highly recommend a self-centering bit like this one, http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-CC2430-Clic-Change-Self-Centering-Assortment/dp/B0000TZX1M/ref=pd_cp_hi_0 if you are drilling new holes. It makes centering your pilot holes a breeze.
