The lamp has a very horrible smell when it is powered on. After buying this lamp, I only used the projector once very briefly. The second time I tried to use it for a presentation the projector went blank and the lamp light came on. Note that the picture qualify was poor on the first test.

No question the product is good, but seriously consider the cost. If it wasn't for the fact that Cali schools have no money we could buy a new projector for the cost of two replacement lamp ... And the new projector would be of great technology advances.

With the previous lamp I had for my Epson projector, we frequently had to turn off the lights to be able to view much with it. When it konked out, we looked all over the net and this was the best price we found. When we got it, I installed it and I could immediately tell that it was brighter. I can leave the lights on now during normal TV viewing.

We had actually ordered the light knowing that our current one was going out...the old one blew up a day or two before the new one came. Replacing the bulb was easy, came with easy to follow directions and took minutes to install. Our only complaint is the cost...these things are not cheap and when you put a new, expensive bulb in your projector, you really think about how you are going to cut back on the hours you use it. Otherwise, we are very happy!

The product was in good order when i received it. Great packaging and instructions on how to install. However although i installed it the correct way following all the instructions there is still a warning message on the projector to replace the lamp don't know why, hope that i don't have to buy a next one soon or else i definitely won't be buying it here.

This lamp fits my epson s7 projector. works as expected. Plenty bright enough but not with the lights on like some people were saying. I would say it is the same as stock. If only it added an HDMI port to the projector. I would recommend this bulb.
