Play Guitar is a really easy to use guitar software program. I especially like the multiple angles of the video to see the right and left hand together. I also bought the Emedia program, which I found very dry and barely used. I also picked up a Hal Leonard book, which hasn't been nearly as effective as this guitar software program. It really feels like I have a personal instructor in my house with the videos and audio. I got both the Play Guitar and Play Electric Guitar software programs. Play Guitar teaches skills you could use on both acoustic and electric guitars vs. Play Electric Guitar, which is definitely geared to electric. Well done.

This is an excellent piece of software. I have been struggling to teach myself to play and have made great strides with this product. It has great video and audio clips....I have been using it for the past two months and can now play at a level where I am really enjoying playing. Great instruction on teaching the fundamentals of electric guitar playing...I highly recommend this product. I am a dad without a lot of time for lessons, and this is perfect for after I put the kids to bed.

The interface is very sleek and easy to use. It also has a number of different programs included like a blues guitar program. I also really like learning chords from the song builder program included. This program offers a number of different styles of learning, which makes it very effective.

But why settle for OK when you can get outstanding with Rocksmith instead? I bought this because it was cheap. Recommend that anyone else considering this for that reason should just save up the $25 for Rocksmith instead.

Not the greatest. Starts out with some easy lessons and then seems to advance three steps with nothing in between. A few other bugs in the videos make it less than stellar too.

The program kept referring to a book? The book was not included, and not to be found. I got this as a gift years ago FULL PRICE higher than shows now.
