This device is as simple as they come...steel suspended from a steel frame. It holds up to .22LR without issue, and works as designed.

For kicks, we decided to see how much punishment it would take. Anything stronger than a .22LR will damage this target. Centerfire pistol calibers (tried 9mm, .40, .45ACP) will severely dent the spinners with each shot. Rifle calibers will punch a clean hole right through the steel. Stick with .22LR and this will last a long time.

This unit works as expected. It shows very little wear when 22LR is used as directed. Exceeding the 22LR guidance definitely shows "wear".
I would prefer longer ground spikes as mounting this in a grassy area makes seeing the target an issue and impedes the spinning of the target.

This product is rater pricey. Almost the same thing can be bought for $12.89 and the other one (in orange color) brings the same 3 different target sizes and it is rather a better venison than this one, because it will stand alone without the need to stick in into the ground.

This is my second Birchwood product, Works as stated, Use the correct caliber as suggested, You might get 1/2" conduit and pound them in the ground so legs will go in them to get it a little higher, Nice price and fast ship, Thanks Birchwood

3 stars - it's ok. My rating may be a bit skewed as my choice of targets has always been more to a measured amount of accuracy. I like to be able to tell how close I am to the bulls eye. This target is either a hit or miss and you really can't tell if you are shooting high, low, right or left. Now ammunition is so hard to find and expensive to purchase I seldom use this target.

These are relatively small once you get the package, but so are .22 bullets! They are easy to see, spin a lot but then settle down quick. We were hitting these at 50yds with iron sights on a .22 rifle... not easy, but you could still see and hit them pretty well. Recommend mounting them on something off of the ground a bit.

This target is very small. Pay close attention to the dimensions before you buy, because the picture does not accurately express the size. Only 18" high. The advertisement from Amazon states it is for any .22 rimfire rifle or handgun but the packaging on the spinner says you cannot use .22 magnum or anything other .22 soft nose bullets. Do not buy this if you are looking for a large target or something to use with .22 WMR or .17 HMR ammunition. That being said, the construction appears to be solid, plates are quite thick, which should allow for long term use. My only concern is the thin frame which will probably not hold up for nearly as long as the plates will. For the money I would recommend looking at a larger item that would allow for greater versatility in use. Without optics the average shooter will most likely have difficulty consistently hitting this target past 50 yards.

I believe this is for a shotgun however I use this with my slingshot. For a slingshot it is sort of hard to hit but when you do hit it you get the satisfaction of it swinging and the loud BING. I cannot speak for shotgun users however since a slingshot isn't powerful enough to make it spin all the way around or make a REALLY loud noise and it's hard to hit for my purposes I give it 3 stars. But if you are serious about shooting DONT listen to me.
