I love Quicksilver needles. They're just enough less slippery than anodized aluminum that they're easier to control, but the fine tips make it easy to get them through the loops. And they're inexpensive!

i really like these needles. I have been knitting for over 50 years and have all types of needles. These needles work well with all types of yarn. Recently I have been knitting hats for charity and these needles work especially well with acrylic which I am using a lot of for this project since the hats are often for the homeless who need an easy care fabric.
the surface of the needle is slick yet holds the fiber.

These have the worst connection between cable and needle, I will not be able to use them and should have returned it. I ordered two sets of these circular needles to knit my first pair of socks. I managed to get started, but was so frustrated at how difficult it was to slip the stitches back onto the needle to begin a new row that I put it aside for days at a time. I since ordered another brand and have been moving along on my socks very nicely. I was not happy to do it, but tossed these as I know I will never attempt them again.

I was unexpectedly disappointed in this purchase. I ordered this needle and it arrived with the the needle detached from the cable. Amazon was very good about replacing the item, however the second item arrived in the same condition. Rather than go through the whole process again I crazy glued the needle to the cable. It managed to hold together long enough to finish the hat I was working on before it came apart again. I have to assume that it was just a bad batch. I will be ordering another one, but I may wait until I feel confident that the defective batch has gone away.

I was very surprised because I have been using Susan Bates products for years and have never had a problem like this. As I said, I feel like it must have just been a bad batch.

Purchased the Susan Bates 16-Inch Quicksilver Circular Knitting Needle to quickly knit some gift hats and within a week both of the needles detached from the cable. When I tried to superglue the needles back onto the cable, the join was not smooth. I ended up going to a LYS and purchased a different set of needles.

I own some Susan Bates double pointed needles that I love to use so thought these fixed circular would be a great affordable needle. If purchasing these needles, check to see if the needles are securely attached to the cable before starting a project.

I have recently purchased the Knitter's Pride interchangeables and those are much smoother to knit with, but they don't come in this size so I purchased this to fill in the gap. They're good, the join between the needle and cable is not as smooth as it could be, but that is my only complaint.

I have been knitting for 40 years, and have used quite a few needles! The love of the QuickSilver circular needle is the length of the needle, the sharp point, and yarns slide very well. However, when choosing Susan Bates, IT MUST BE QuickSilver! This needle reminds me of the European Brand Bernat. However, most of my Bernats are straight and I prefer circular needles. Give it a try.
