There's nothing namby-pamby about a nice smelling bathroom, but heavy perfume isn't the answer. I tried Glade Scented Oil and discovered that the fragrance doesn't eliminate bathroom odors. It mixes with them, creating an unpleasant olfactory cocktail.

When I picked up one of these at the market, I was impressed by its heft. The large surface area gets more of the product into the air where it sends odors packing. Instead of a heavy cloud of phony florals, a wisp of orange zest lets you know it's working.

Of course, you'll also know it's working when you no longer hear shouts of "Shut that door!" as you emerge from the, uh, reading room.

We have a dog and my roommate has really stinky feet. We also smoke in the house. It can get kind of gross. There's been a constant "weird" smell that I can't quite put my finger on - maybe it's a combination of dog, feet and smoke among other things. I've tried sprays, carpet deodorizer, febreeze, candles, about everything. This was my last resort, and I'm very pleased to announce that it worked. I've only had it in the house for a few days, but the air now seems much fresher. The smell of funk and dog is finally gone. I've found that I can move it around the house to different rooms, let it sit for a couple of hours, and the room is miraculously free and clear of bad odors. I have no idea how this thing works, but this skeptical buyer is now a true believer!

The citrus smell is fabulous and eliminates all odors immediately. The Fresh Linen, however, is a waste of money. Can't even smell it.

When comparing this head to head to that "other" cheap air freshener that comes in a "cone", there is no comparison with the ingredients. That smell you get from the little cone is a FAKE smell, and they don't release the ingredients, so you don't really know what that chemical you are smelling really IS. Citrus magic has the ingredients listed, and the smell I wanted gone was gone. I used to have to use 2 of the cone things near our catbox. Now, I use one Citrus Magic. It lasts for about a month, which is about what the other lasted. It is an "oder absorber", not an "oder coverer". I noticed a big difference, and I hope this is a small part of providing a less toxic home.

I bought this to help with odor control from a cat litter box (yes, I clean often enough, but she is a stinky girl). At first, I loved it. It was so fresh and bold without smelling too "fake." (but I love the smell of citrus...some may find it a bit too strong for the first 24 hours). I felt fairly confident this would WORK! The cheerful citrus fragrance remained strong for at least 3-5 days, but started to taper off. I didn't expect it to be super strong forever, but I did expect to smell some trace of it and I definitely expected the product to control odors, as it claims to do so
for up to 6 weeks." The first one I used lasted maybe 3 weeks. So I thought it could've been a fluke, and I've tried two more since then.
Odor control for 6 weeks? No way. Maybe 2 or 3 weeks, but that's it. It dries up really quickly, leaving a rock-like residue. I attempted to add water one time, thinking it would "re-hydrate" the deodorizer but no luck. It just made a mess.
I really wanted this to work, but it just didn't for my needs.

Living with 5 cats can be challenging, and handling the odor of kitty litter is one of those challenges. Citrus Magic is the only air freshener I have found that works and lasts well enough to handle the winter months for me and my felines. The scents are not too strong, and the oder absorption really works.

This air freshener is magic. It keeps your home smelling fresh for weeks! At first, the scent is a little overwhelming. That only lasts for a few days. Then, for a couple of weeks, you have a house that smells clean. My only issue is that the scent doesn't last longer than that.
