As one reviewer mentioned, the first cut or two will be a little iffy, so practice on scraps. After that, smooth sailing even around curves! If you do a lot of cutting (as I do for my handmade business), you will eventually come to dread it if you're using regular cutting tools (rotary cutter or shears). This little tool is easy to use, cuts through fabric like butter and is reasonably priced to boot.

The reason the manufacturer doesn't include instructions, however, is because it's a tool for professional sewists and commercial shops. This is normal (just as you won't find sewing instructions in the manual for an industrial sewing machine). However, there is information to be found online by simply googling. I would highly recommend this little tool for any serious sewist who does a lot of cutting.

I have had the Electric Rotary Fabric Mini Cutter Shears for about 3 weeks now, and haven't taken the time to use it yet. Well today I decided to take it out for a test run. Wow! The first cut was a bit iffy, but after that I sailed through 15 aprons and 4 doll dresses. No pain in my hands at all. The pain in my hands was the reason I even began to look for a better way to cut fabric. It was worth every dollar I paid for it. I decided to try multiple cutting. So I set up 5 aprons with double fabric for each, which came to 10 layers. It did just fine. I am very happy with my new sewing toy.

I purchased the cutter for cutting multilayers of cloth. This I would give the cutter a 5 star rating if the manifacture would have given me how to use the cutter. There is a learning curve to use the cutter. After a hour of cutting up scraps of cloth I found the best way to use this cutter. Curves are still tricky. Moving forward while cutting curves are still tricky for me. That is after 3 months of use. One thing I will say this cutter dose save tons of time. I am still learning how to use the cutter.

A very nice tool just what I needed. Cuts denim and even soft lining fabrics with ease. I did not have any problems cutting around corners and curved edges. And for that price I paid it is the best. Well worth it. I will check Amazon for my needs from now on.

i had ordered a chargeable scissor and it was good, however I wanted it specifically to cut fabrics and fleece. These really worked perfectly and are very powerful. The other product I ordered worked well on cardboard and the packages with plastic that no one can open, but it did not cut fleece or fabric well.---it caught the fleece and fabric in the cutting blade. These are amazing! No catching of fabric, no hesitation with heavy fabrics especially fleece!!!

I thought it was going to cut on top of the fabric. You have to wedge the fabric in the angle and it'll slice through. I can't see the lines I drew so i feel unsure as I cut.
It's so easy to cut with, though, for sure.

Seems to be excellent quality and well built. Nicely weighted in the hand. Have cut through multiple layers of jersey fabric as well as burlap and the shears cut like butter. I am left-handed and it works well (as long as I cock my head slightly over the shears to see the cut). I am not very co-ordinated but can cut a nice straight line as well as curves with these!

The shears are kind of awkward to store (the cord is long and bulky) so I made a drawstring bag to put them in when not in use. This should help protect it from dust, etc. I love the fact I can keep the blade sharpened just by using the shears. Will update this review if there are issues with the blade as time goes on. I am also about to embark on a project involving heavy marine upholstery so will update if these shears have any issue with that fabric.

After weighing the cost of buying a manual rotary cutter + self-healing cutting mat, these electric shears became a no-brainer. Not only can I save a bunch of time by cutting multiple layers with precision I bought a massive cardboard cutting board for only $12 which should last me a long time, is non-toxic like the self-healing mats are, and I don't have to worry about cutting myself inadvertently like with the manual cutters.

Pretty nice cutter! It does what it says it does. What's nice is that you don't have to worry about layers of fabric slipping during the cut, as the rotary blade slices through them like butter! Also, no worries of cutting myself, due to the small/adjustable opening at the blade. Nice.

I haven't had them long enough to give them 5 stars and I don't know their durability. I'm hopeful.
