I love this grill and use it all the time. It is compact, easy to store and with the removable disks, easy to clean. The only thing that it lacks which would be helpful is a timer. But for the money, it is well worth it!

I purchased the Hamilton Beach 25451 as a replacement fro my George foreman grill. The George Foreman grill was clumsy and hard to clean. The 25451 works great and is easy to clean due to the grilling surfaces being removable, cleaning is a snap.

I chose this product for the way the top grill fit so that when cooking items of thicker proportions it would adjust unlike those grills on a regular hinge.

Pros: Heats up quickly, large cooking area, removable trays, floating hinge that locks in place

Cons: Seems very cheaply made, drip tray isn't big enough (overflowed cooking 5 or 6 hamburgers, 85/15 ground chuck) trays are not nearly as easy to clean as you would expect, only used 4 or 5 times and the non-stick coating is already starting to come off in several small places

Given that this particular model is relatively inexpensive I can't say it's all bad, but you get what you pay for. It does what it is supposed to do in most cases, but as soon as you cook with barbecue sauce (or any other liquid seasoning for that matter) you are going to have a mess on your hands. It only has one setting "FREAKIN HOT" and burns any sauce almost instantly, leaving a charred crust that you would swear has been applied to the trays with crazy glue.

If the coating lasts 6 months I'll be surprised and then I'll spend more on a foreman grill with temp control.

The main reason I bought this was for grilling hamburgers. Cooking them in a frying pan gets so messy, with the grease splattering all over the stove top, so I wanted something like this for that reason alone. I was a little skeptical about buying one because I read so many reviews on these type of grills and I was a little unsure if any of them were worth buying.

Fortunately I found this works perfectly for what I needed. Just let it warm up for 6 minutes as the instructions said and put the burgers on. The grill got hot enough that it gave a nice sizzle to the meat as soon as it hit the grill, searing them perfectly. I like my burgers nice and thick to so I was worried about it getting too hot, but after about 7 minutes they were perfectly cooked inside and nicely browned outside.

As far as cons, I have two but they're not really anything big. For one, there is no on off switch, which means you have to unplug it whenever it's not in use. Also, there is no back stop, so when you use a spatula the meat can keep sliding all the way back and would fall off if you let it. Simple enough to just use another utensil to help slide it onto the spatula though.

Hi, I bought this grill because I was looking for one requiring minimal storage capacity. Not a lot of grill plates, compact, etc. This grills very well and I am pleased in that regard. However, it is supposed to close for upright storage, but the latch on the left side has already broken. The knob on the right side works (but if you crank it too much, the piece the knob is attached to starts to come off the handle) so the thing sort of closes....it's kind of half open on one side because of the latch. Disappointing since this is the main reason I bought this model, and for that reason I gave it two stars (and that is being generous).

Although it cleans up well, and I love the space, I have one major problem with it. The drip pan is only for the front. When you lift the lid, grease clinging to the top drips down the back, onto the counter. They need to improve the design.

This grill really sucks. Should have just gotten another george foreman

The surface isn't non-stick at all. Meat always sticks to the top half, so when I open it the meat is all in the air with the grease dripping down through the gap onto the counter. Tried spraying it with non-stick first but it's still the same. Have had it too long to return so I'll drop this thing off at good will and buy a foreman
