This is a good quality drill bit and will definitely do the job. I had to drill through a 14" thick brick wall constructed of three layers of brick. This bit wasn't stiff enough to keep a straight line through the wall. It flexes quite a bit which I suppose I should have expected but didn't. It did get through the wall but not as cleanly as I would have liked. Just beware of the flex if you're going to use this. Not a lot of pressure can be brought to bear because of it.

I have yet to use this drill bit; however, it looks like it will do a nice job drilling holes in the earth for setting markers to outline plowable areas. I just broke my 18 inch drill bit (over 12 years old) when it hit a rock.

This drill bit did what it was supposed to do, but it only did it one time. I was running a line through very thick brick in a 1890's school building and thankfully we only had one hole that we needed longer than our 12-14 inch bits. It did well most of the way through but by the time I had almost finished the hole the bit was no longer usable and we were just pushing it through instead of the bit doing the work.
