perfect replacement for the 5 gallon Igloo cooler.

We borrowed a friends cooler and cracked the ring around the spigot. The spigot still works but cosmetically not so good. I wouldn't feel right returning the cooler in that condition so I purchased this replacement. Its exact to the one I'm replacing and was very easy to replace.

Easy Install. The hardest part was to loosen the nut on the old spigot - had to use a pliers. Then it was simply twist out the old one - twist in the new one - put on the washer and nut and tighten.

It all took less than 5 minutes including going and look for a pliers.

These may not fit other brands in all cases but they fit my three Rubbermaid water coolers. Also, I think they will be more durable than the spigots that came on the Rubbermaid coolers. They were certainly cheaper than the Rubbermaid replacements that were available.

Looking at the picture when I ordered it, I was a bit worried that it would not fit my Igloo "Maxcold." When the part arrived two days ago it took me all of a minute to install it. There were directions on the back of the package but they were not needed as a four year old could have installed it. I filled the cooler with water and it works fine. It does not protrude out as far as the original spigot which is better as it is less likely to snag something and get damaged while being transported.

30 day guarantee I guess is not enough these days. The original design was changed as well as the expectations of merchantability, I guess 30 days is all igloo can warrantee on their replacement parts.... one would expect more from a brand such as Igloo.... hopefully someone from igloo will take notice and send a replacement to quench our thirst here in the Arizona desert...
