I bought my first hedgehog at PetSmart (for more than double what it is availble on Amazon). I am absolutely repulsed by squeaky toys and when I heard this toy I was in love, forget the dogs. I took the hedgehog home and my boys (2 springer spaniels), upon hearing the "grunt" fell in love. I can't tell you how many I have bought since that first encounter (almost 3 yrs ago). I will admit that my dogs have the toys apart in no time so be prepared to pick up stuffing but if you are a true animal lover you are used to picking up stuffing from soft, stuffed animals. What I love the most about this toy, when the stuffing is gone my dogs still love carrying the "skin" around, the skin lasts a very long time. I would and have recommended this toy to many, many of my friends and family. If you are tired of hearing the high pitch squeak of other stuffed animals get this cute thing and I promise you will be amazed, as will your dogs.

Pugs snort...a lot...as do many other short-snouted dogs (of course, short-snouted is an understatement when it comes to Pugs). This toy snorts back at them! It's incredible, it oink-honk-snorts and they love it! Other toys squeak and, yeah, that gets their attention, but it is *nothing* compared to the "honk-oink" of this toy.

A word on the durability, 2 full grown Pugs can put a tear in this in about a week when it is their favorite tug-o-war toy, yes. That being said, a needle, some thread, and three minutes of your time, and their favorite toy is back in play (literally). When I use an upholstery needle and friendship-bracelet-string the rip has NEVER re-opened, and dogs don't care if the seem is a little wonky. :P

After I ordered this I found it locally for about $3 less. My lab mix has always had a "booda" and loves these hedgehogs. Its like her security blanket or something and she is usually very gentle with it.

This toy is great. It does not have legs, which were a weakness my chow/golden retriever mix exploited on a previous hedgehog. The noise is great, but enough has been written about how much better the honk/grunt is than squeakers.

This toy is not for a destructive dog. It was the fifth hedgehog we've tried with our chowtriever and it lasted almost an hour. The lack of legs helped but the nose got chewed off. She then proceeded to try and extract the squeaker and stuffing through there. It is not made of anything stronger than normal fabric.

I love these toys and want to give it a better review but just can't until they make them more durable.

My mouthy Lab tore this apart in one day. She must have been extremely bored! Usually these hedgehogs keep her happy, but not the large one. I think I'll go back to the medium and see what happens.

This is the fourth hedgehog I have purchased for my two dogs. It is one of their favorite toys. They play with it every day. Eventually, my yorkiepoo defurs it and then we find fuzzies all over the house, but they get several months out of it.

A few years back, I had bought my dog a hedgehog toy in a Walmart store. It's been a few years, and with a new dog, I wanted to buy her a hedgehog toy, but could not find one in any pet store. Fortunately, amazon carried them. This thing was cute, but if your dog rips through toys quickly, I wouldn't recommend this item.

I am so disappointed with the quality of this product. I have a 10 week old miniature dachshund who loved it as soon as I gave it to him. Yup - for all of the 1 hour it took him to tear it apart he was having a lot of fun. Then the stuffing started flying all over the place and it ended up in the trash. If my puppy can pull it apart I can only imagine what a larger dog will do. Guess I will stay away from like product and definately away from this vendor.
