These pitch pipes have been the dirty little secret of the barbershop community for years. They're durable, they don't break, they don't go out of tune, and they have a clearer sound than any other pipe on the market.

Other than that, it's a pitch pipe. If you're looking for a good one, stop here. If you're looking for a bad one, keep looking. If you weren't looking for pitch pipes, I'm not sure what you're doing here. I really don't have much else to say.

I have sung in and directed several a cappella men's ensembles, including barbershop harmony groups, and I used to give the pitch with Master Key pitch pipes. I would buy a new pipe about 4 times a year, because the notes I used most frequently would be significantly below pitch after only a few months of use.

I bought two Tombo pitch pipes a few years ago, back when they were not available from any retailer in the U.S., and those two are still on pitch. It's great to see that it is easier (and cheaper) to buy them now!

I need a new one just because I'm so rough on them -- those first two I bought still work fine, but they don't look great since I've dropped them several times and I have a tendency to absent-mindedly grind my teeth on the plastic! But I would have gone through well over a dozen Master Key pipes in the time I've had these two Tombos (and one is usually on loan to other people).

Much easier than traditional pitch pipe. . .I only wish it came C-C. The only problem I have seen, is that with regular handling, the printing indicating the notes can get a bit rubbed off. I have used some clear nail polish to cover the printing to stop this

Bought this for my quartet. These pitch pipes are great. You need to be somewhat consistent in how you blow it, otherwise the pitch can migrate as you blow. Too little pressure not good, too much not good, needs to be just right. But if you do that this pitch pipe makes a nice sound.

This is a very good product. We are a ladies Barbershop Chorus. They take just a little bit of practice in getting the exact pitch for the F and G. I bought them from a distributor named BigMO. He was fantastic to work with and the purchase was handled quickly and courteously.

Why I bought it:
I love to sing A cappela music and participate in a barbershop chorus. We often sing impromptu at area restaurants, so it is great for someone in the group to have a pitch instrument close at hand. Smartphone pitch apps are ok, but not always accurate.

What I like about it:
The design of the Tombo makes it so that it holds pitch accuracy far longer than other forms of pitch instruments. I like that it has a "home bump" to help for a consistent alignment when bringing it up to blow a pitch. (Look at the top near the mouthpiece at E 8 <not circled>). Having the mouth piece extensions also makes it easier to not mix pitches by imperfect placement. The Tombo comes with a pocket pouch, so it helps keep it from getting pocket lint in it.

What I don't like:
The instrument is larger than other types and it takes more room in the pocket (typical storage place for barbershoppers)

I am so impressed with this little fella! Works perfect, every note. I've had The Master Key pitch pipe, 3 of notes didn't work, but I put up with it bc I needed it straight away. So I'm so glad I found this one. Each pipe works just right I had to get used to it!! haha!

This pitch pipe was lauded by other users as the only true pitch pipe. Well, it failed for me. IN PERFORMANCE. I went to play the F and it sounded like some injured duck calling out to its deceased father at midnight in the forest. Kinda like the "Papa, Can You Hear Me?" scene from "Yentl."
