We purchased 4 of these. There is simply not enough room, even if you purchase separately, longer screws, to insert a proper turkey gobbler tail. Even after paring down the tail there still was not enough room. We are going to request a refund. This is cheaply made by people who are supposed to be experts. Very disappointing.

This piece of crap is that grey particle board that they make cheap furniture out of with paper laminate that looks like wood but scratches easily.
A turkey mount is a fairly small thing, you would think they would use real wood. I know it hangs on the wall and no one would ever know, but I do and it bugs me.

We are very disappointed with this product. It arrived with two brass plates taped to the front which were not pictured on the product page. One of these plates was cut incorrectly so one side didn't match the other. There also isn't enough room for a proper tail mount. The bracket in the back doesn't fit over the tail and if you use it you need longer screws than what was provided and it still won't hang correctly. We have done several tail mounts and this kit was by far the worst product we have ever used. The packaging was also terrible, the hardware was packaged on top of the mount which scratched and dug into the mount. If I hadn't purchased this with my amazon points and if I had noticed that you can't actually hang this mount up or even mount the tail feathers before I had fixed all of the defects I would return it... Absolute junk, don't waste your money, time, or energy. I would give this product 0 stars if that was possible.

Once you get it hung up you'll see that this simple looking mount gives you a clean look. My 14 year old used this kit to mount his first fan and beard. We've just ordered 3 more because we like to look of this over any other mount kit available.

I do have 3 of these plaques hanging so they do look ok. The wood is soft and easy to chip. The brackets they send with need some custom touches (longer screws). Otherwise it is what it looks like and nothing more.

This plaque arrived different than the picture shown. It is not a hardwood plaque, but a processed board with very bad veneer. I ordered two and both of them were scratched through the veneer upon delivery. They looked terrible so I returned them. I won't be ordering another cheap Chinese plaque over the internet. I'm going to pay double and get a real wood plaque made in the USA. I figure I have spent thousands on hunting, so why am I going to show off my trophy with a terrible looking plaque. Also, I don't see how you can mount a tail fan even with longer screws. There is no clearance between the "wood" pieces.

The product is good for an inexpensive tail fan mount. However, the product I received is different than it shows in the picture. The plaque came with cheap gold pieces attached to the front when all I wanted was a wood look. I'm too lazy to really care to send it back and I have countless numbers of tail fans, but item is not as described.
