It costs more, but it's worth every penny. I'm a fairly big guy, 6'2" and 240lbs, and I have back problems. For DECADES, I've also been bothered by a delicate issue of certain elements of my physique distending into the low and low-powered "Green" toilets that are ubiquitous today except in hospitals. If you know what I mean, it is by NO means bragging; it's a horrible, unhealthy, and miserable experience to endure on a daily basis.

So I began to search around the internet, and all the elevated seats I found are UGLY, over-priced, poorly made, and so darn pathetic looking, I almost gave up on finding an even remotely acceptable solution. Somehow I stumbled upon this seat at last, and I only can say it needs better promotion..... It is sturdy, easy to install, and it doesn't look hideous. What else can I say....

This has been such a tremendous aid for me. It fits the toilet securely, without loosening or shifting around. It was easy to install. It is much nicer than those solid plastic seat risers that you can buy. This seat does not soil easily like others as it is exactly like a regular toilet seat except it has 4 bridge risers underneath to elevate and add 3 inches in height. The cut out in front makes it much easier for personal hygiene. Those other seats are impossible. It is also available in a two inch height. I highly recommend this product. You won't be disappointed.

The caption on this product is incorrect. It DOES have a cover. I pointed this out when I ordered it more than a month ago, but no one has bothered to correct it.

This is a fantastic product Best I have seen. We have a comfort height toilet and had another 4 Inch rise on the bottom of the toilet but because my disabled husband is 6' 2 it still was hard for him to get up and down so I bought this seat and it is great easy to clean and the material is the same as a regular toilet seat not the ugly yellow plastic seat risers. If you are short buy the 2" but you will be happy with this seat..it doesnt move from side to side at all the most secure seat I have found

Don't look any further if you need a toilet seat riser. Stable, secure, easy to install, quality product. I had surgery and needed a riser. Checked out other products. So flimsy and unstable. Sure it costs more but you do get what you pay for. This one doesn't budge. Worth the price. Buy it and don't think twice. You won't find a better riser out there. I didn't want to buy several that you can't return and wind up spending more than just buying this one. I took the plunge and got this one. After my surgery I had a lot to worry about and an insecure toilet riser was something I did not want to bother about. Comes in 2" or 3" inch riser. I am short so opted for the 3". We had even considered installing an ADA height toilet but even those don't really rise enough. I am a month out from my surgery and can switch back to our regular seat but I am loving this one too much.

It's sure easier on my knees than the regular height toilet. I don't like the open front and if I had it to do over again I would buy the 2 inch one, not the three inch. If you don't have to pay a plumber to install it, you can get a new handicap height toilet for just a little more than this seat.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to safely raise my 94 year old father’s toilet seat several inches. Below is what I learned.

This Bemis product is one of the few of its type and is an attractive very good quality elongated toilet seat, effectively raising your toilet about 3 inches. It readily mounts to the toilet bowl with supplied fasteners, although I replaced their long plastic nuts with compatible spacers and wing nuts for ease of removal (see Installation below). The seat can be installed fairly easily by the homeowner and seems easy to keep clean as well. Bemis has a number of other toilet seat products similar in purpose to this one. For me this item solved several problems that I encountered with my attempts to raise the level of the toilet seat. One basic problem is that there are virtually no toilets made that are significantly higher than about 16-1/2 inches from the floor to the top of the bowl. Don’t believe a salesperson on this question - check the manufacturer’s spec sheet to be sure. You’ll see what I mean.
Another problem is that with many inexpensive toilet seat risers or spacers (i.e., the kind that fit between the toilet bowl and the toilet seat), when attached they may not be stable, but are difficult to fasten properly and can slide around. Also, fastening these types of spacers with some toilet seats with slow closing mechanisms and special fasteners can be even more problematic. Some risers or spacers that don’t require or allow a toilet seat may also not be stable.Read more ›

This is the best solution to sitting too low on a normal toilet seat. I have tried most of them. It is lightweight. It was in perfect condition when it was delivered. The box was damaged but I knew that when ordering it at a reduced price. I was not sure at the time of order if I was going to be happy with the quality of the item but as described, the box was damaged but the item was in perfect condition. A great bargain.
