I bought this to hold all my girls' matchbox cars. They are HUGE car fans, so we have a ton & was sick of constantly stepping on them and finding them everywhere because they had no official "home". I figured this would also be great because I could grab this & toss it in the car for a weekend at Grandma's. While it does hold a lot of cars, it doesn't hold up well to excited children.

Pros:
- Holds a lot of cars
- Has a fun track for the cars to drive on, etc.
- Easily wipes down in case of a spill or accident
- The zippers have held of pretty good

Cons:
- While the outer shell is plastic, the plastic wraps around what feels like cardboard. This means when your child sits in the unopened box (which will happen from time to time, no matter how many times you tell them it is not an "airplane"), the sides get pushed on and bent. They have bowed out over time & don't stand well on their own anymore. So I would say now it's more like a circle. It still zips and holds the cars, but that leads me to my next con...
- The lid no longer has a purpose since the box is now round. It's too difficult to put on (you have to hold all the sides), so it was tossed into he back of their closet.

While the pros appear to outweigh the cons, I only gave it 3 stars because the cons are a bigger deal to most parents. I don't know how this issue can be fixed, but I don't think I will buy this product or one similar again (I should have learned my lesson after I bought a toy box that was made in a similar way).

I got this for my 3 year old son while he waits on his Christmas train track set. He likes it a lot. I'm not completely sold on it. The bin is not rigid enough to hold his little cars and the sides bow out. So it's really not a great storage bin when not in use. I expected the mat itself to be more rigid. It is too "puffy" to allow plastic signs etc to stand on their own, which frustrates him. The mat I got does not look like the one in the picture. My train track goes around the perimeter and cuts off in the middle of each side where the handle holes and mat come together. So basically the train derails on all four sides. It is a good idea but they could have designed it a lot better.

My daughter has been tagging along with her brother since she was able to crawl. She has adopted his love of trains and hot wheels cars, even though he has now moved onto electronic entertainment. This convertable container/play mat is great for her at age 4. She loves playing on it with her 'truckses' and it is convenient for us to then stow away her little play universe. Sturdily built for its intended use.

This product is very cute and the idea is wonderful, unfortunately the item is made out of very flimsy material. It does not hold its shape at all! The "box" won't even sit up and good luck with the lid. Super disappointed in this flimsy product.

We downsized from a full size train table with the drawers under to this box for all our wooden railroads. The bin converts to a mat that is square with round corners. The image has roads and a track, along with some buildings, construction site and farm.
It holds three bridges, the roundhouse, all our track and all the trains. Kids have no problem taking the sides down, but putting it back into the box form is a bit harder for them... its easy for adults. Glad we got this.

Thomas the Train and all his buddies plus about 75 pieces of track live in this clever case (with room for more). Just pull down the zippers (which my grandchildren LOVE to do) and start laying track. When they're done, they toss all the pieces onto the mat and zip it back up. Even the 2-year-old can lift and carry the Zipbin from one room to the next using the clever handles on the sides. This is the fourth Zipbin product I have purchased. Love them all.

I love this bin. it makes cleaning up loads of little toy vehicles so easy. My toddler (2.5 yrs) can zip and unzip the sides himself. A really excellent product.

I purchased this for my son as a Christmas present. It was great for about 2 weeks. Unfortunately it is made out of cardboard covered with a easily cleaned fabric. The sides are now bent and the whole thing just collapses. It's a great idea, just very poorly executed.
