I've had my Seagate ST3750640AS for one year now and it has done a great job. The drive is very fast and responsive.

The only minor complaint I would have is that it did cause my computer to vibrate a bit when spinning up. I just put a piece of plywood under my computer so it didn't sit on the carpet and all was well.

I don't know what the other complaints are about. I researched the drive before buying and it had really good benchmarks. Granted, it had just come out when I purchased it though. Perhaps he got a bum unit or bought one from a bum vendor.

Mine's been good to me!

Not much to say except that I'm happy I got it. Arrived quickly and well packaged. Worked as promised and the price was great. I would buy from this vendor again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Strong even under 24x7, January 9, 2009
Using 15 of these in a drive array. Over the course of 1.5 years we have had to replace two. These are being used in a high demand array for backup that is running 24x7x365, so 2 out of 15 in 1.5 years isn't too bad. Had no problems sending the two drives in for RMA direct to seagate either. Running 4 months so far with no failures as well.
