I searched high and low for Eric Carle toys that go with his books and this one tops the charts. This was purchased for an autistic child who does not show emotions and his eyes lit up upon seeing this and the other Eric Carle toys from Brown Bear to Hungry Caterpillar.

My 4 yr old LOVES this, we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar every night, she was so happy when I gave it to her. she thanked me twice! I gave it to her while reading the book, it was a nice moment to remember!

My 3 month old loves this little stuffed critter. I think it's his favorite toy. He loves to grab it and put it in his mouth, maybe because the bright colors interest him, or maybe because the caterpillar's feet are approximately the size of nipples. Either way, I'm glad it is machine washable.

I bought this caterpillar as part of a gift for the new baby of a friend, along with an Eric Carle butterfly embroidered dress I had already purchased. The baby has a three-year-old brother, who loves his Hungry Caterpillar book, and the caterpillar was a great hit with him (and I'm sure he'll share it with his little sister, when she gets older.) He sat and rocked with his grandma, while she read the book to him, and he held the caterpillar and petted it. This is a nice carry-able size for little ones and very soft and flexible. The quality is very good, with embroidered eyes for safety. I am pleased that I chose this toy and will probably do so again, for future gifts.

Ordered this stuffed animal for my daughter who just LOVES the very hungry caterpillar. It is a very small size. It could practically be a keychain. I think it is about 6" in length. Much smaller than I was expecting especially considering the price.

I am a big fan of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and this was absolutely adorable. I use him for my severe anxiety in public. He's small enough to fit in a backpack or purse. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that has anxiety. He really helps.

Invited to a baby christening I wasn't sure what to bring. I new the little guy would never want for clothes and money didn't seem right. So I bought the Melamine Dish set, the Hungry Caterpillar book and bean bag toy. Hit gift! have heard from mother how much he loves the set and from others that they too gave the gift (or similar) . Oh and the items are fantastic.
