I have been using Wired for several years and am convinced it is the best styling product for people with fine hair.

You apply it while your hair is still damp and then style it as usual. Wired will stay like you leave it or you can wait until your hair dries and then comb through it or use your hands to "break" the hold. Hair stays as it was styled and has the appearance being thickened, well-groomed but not artificial.

I can use it to "spike" my hair for casual use or break the hold and comb it normally for business use.

Perhaps the best thing about the product is that it is never sticky or oily. I live in a humid climate and must constantly wipe my forehead, the other products will leave my hands feeling greasy or sticky. But not wired, it feels like a light waxy coating on my hands. It smells good too and it is suitable for use between to both my wife and myself.

This product is some cool beans.

I am half black and have tight, corkscrew curls. Wired is by far the best product I've found for my hair. I can wear my hair natural and not have to worry in the least about the weather! I just put it on my hair while it's still wet, finger through it, and let it air-dry. It keeps my curls soft, shiny, and in place.

I love Rusk's Wired. I have long hair that is very straight in the front and curly in the back. The front of my hair has been a challenge my entire life. It hangs lifeless in my face if I don't pull it back, gel it, curl it, etc. Even after all my efforts it will lose any style I achieve by mid-day. Since I started to use Wired my hair has more memory of how it was dried without being stiff at all. It helps me style my hair with very little effort and keeps my hair oh-so-soft. The front will actually hold body and style until the next day. I've never found anything that could do this. I just love this stuff.

I never thought I was very good at styling my hair, but this stuff makes me look like a pro. It gives great shaping and body. It doesn't look stiff, greasy or weighed-down. It's a super-thick cream you can use before blowdrying or on dry hair. Similar to, but IMHO more effective than Aveda's defining whip.

I've used this product for years so knew exactly what I was getting. i.e. no surprises with this order. For those who have never used it, it can best be described as a medium "cream" texture. You put a large pea-sized dollop on your palm and then rub it together until both hands are thoroughly covered. You then aggressively work it into your hair (I typically use it while the hair is still a tiny bit damp just after a towel-dry).

It sets in such a way that you really don't feel like you have product in your hair. You or somebody can run fingers through your hair and it's not like they will be touching some hard plastic gel like so many other products out there. This stuff is subtle and even the scent is subtle, which is really why I like it.

The only thing that annoys me about it is that after a couple of days, any excess product around the opening at the top of the tube will usually harden into a tiny, thin white ring of product. If you aren't careful when you squeeze out a new dollop, that solid thin ring will get in your dollop and end up in your hair. You will then see a little white fleck of junk in your hair that you have to remove. Anyhow, take your finger nail or a cotton swab or something and clean that off of the opening before squeezing out any new product.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stuff. You only need a very small amount. I have coarse, wiry hair and this smoothes it, reduces frizz, protects from heat, and helps hold the style. It takes some trial and error to determine the right amount for your hair. Mine is moderately thick, and as I said coarse, and I use about a pea size amount. I put a half a pea size in the palm of my hair, rub my hands to gather to evenly distribute it, and then sparingly apply it to the ends of my hair; add another half a pea size and repeat to damaged areas of my hair and it makes a huge difference in the results I get after just blow drying. Final results after curling iron, or flat iron as excellent!

Warning: if you use too much, it will weigh down your hair!

This is my favorite hair product. When applies to damp hair it provides good hold, but not too much. The hold is easily broken by combing or fluffing your hair. This has a nice, clean and mild scent suitable for men or women. I like the bottle it comes in because you can squeeze out every last bit.
