Not sure who introduced this idea of the USB functionality in an SD card but they should get a Nobel prize in something. I've used this card with different cameras, most recently with Canon G9 and it's such a joy not having to have a card reader or cable around. It works great.

I bought this card because older SD card readers cannot read the newer SDHC cards and I wanted the convenience of not needing a card reader. I assumed I would have to settle with the performance of the slower class 4 instead of the faster class 6 available with other SDHC cards.

What I realized when I tested it was it is actually faster than my class 6 sdhc card, as tested on a usb 2.0 card reader. I got writes in the 10-11MB/s range and reads around 20MB/s.

This card is a total no-brainer, excellent.

Great card you can't beat the flexablity. I've had three in various sizes that have all worked flawlessly in many computers, servers and laptops (I'm an IT Manager). My one grip is that SanDisk does not make anything larger than a 4GB card in this configuration. I feel they do not support this product enough and are missing out on the full potential for sales of this type of card. No one seems to know about them and SanDisk's own website does not strongly support these cards.

I own two of these style SD cards. As you can see they double as a flash drive, making card readers and camera cables obsolete. They're reliable: I've had them for 5+ years with NO problems. They are so so sooo convenient. I can't tell you how often I'm taking pictures at a party or on a trip and someone asks me for a copy of my photos. They're shocked to find out I can just pop my card into their old computer sans cords or cables.

This is truly the better mouse trap. You'll love it.

The speed of this SD card seems to be fine for the amateur photographer. I have purchased many of these plusUSB SD cards and will only ever again purchase them.

The convenience is great. Don't ever need a card reader again. Just bend the card in half and plug it into an open USB port.

Only downfall is to date I haven't seen one larger than 4GB. Larger would be great, but the convenience is hard to beat.
