1.0 out of 5 stars No. From a Mac user., January 3, 2008
By B. CHRISTIAN (Hoschton, Georgia United States) - See all my reviews

For a long time, Memorex was the only Double Layer option for me because of price. I never really had a hard time with the 2X discs burning on the Pioneer burners (DVR-110D and 111D) in most Macs. The new 8X discs are a completely different story. I've lost at least half of the discs. I switched from DragonBurn to Toast8, with improved results for a few burns, but then more "sense errors" a quarter to halfway through the burn. The reality is Memorex DL media is not preferred media for the Pioneer drives. It was never a problem till this new 8X batch. Buy at your own risk!

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and Work at Slow Speed, June 16, 2009

I'm not the first, and i won't be the last to say this: Don't burn these at 8x. Burn them at 2.4x or less, and you'll be happy enough. Out of 15, 11 succeeded for me. 3 had I/O errors, 1 unreadable disk. You WILL get errors, but you'll get them with the Verbatim disks too. As long as you burn these slowly, you should be satisfied.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money or time, February 5, 2009
What a bunch of junk! Every one of their disks failed. After contacting Memorex, they informed me that I would have to ship them back to at my expense along with my receipt that I no longer have. I informed them that it would be a lot cheaper to throw them away and never buy any thing from Memorex again. I never heard back from them again. What I now use is Sony DVD+R DL and have never had any problems at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible
If I could give this product 0.5 stars, I would because out of the 5 times I tried burning that DVD-DL, only 1 of them completed burning successfully.
