Being a man, I can be messy...and lazy...when it comes to cleaning up. Add to that hard water and an over-fondness for body wash, and you've got hte joys of soap scum to deal with. Until recently, I've been pretty clueless about cleaners, I figured they were all the same. This product, Lysol 4-in-1 Bathroom Cleaner, was on sale so I grabbed it.

For probably the first time in my life, I read the directions (I know, I'm getting old.) I coated the shower tiles and glass doors liberally with the product and let it sit. Now, the time you let it sit depends on what you're after. To clean, you don't need to leave it long. For sanitation, a bit longer. To disinfect, they suggest 10-minutes, which is what I did. Then, using my removable shower head, I rinsed off the walls and then went over them again with a wet sponge. I couldn't believe the difference! I had no idea how much soap scum was actually on the walls and doors! It worked so well, that I could easily see the spots I missed. The product that had run over those spots made them easy to remove with just a tiny bit of elbow grease and a damp sponge.

The fragrance was pleasant, though it didn't completely cover the smell of the cleaner. However, within 30 minutes, it simply smelled "clean." Nice.

So pleased, I tried the product on the bathroom counters, the sink, the tub and the toilet and was very please with the results.

My only niggle is that I wish the sprayer covered more eare, but this could be because the product creates a thick foam, so dispersing it more might be counter productive.

Today I used the product on the shower grout, and whisked the soap scum away easily with a sponge and an old toothbrush.

Five out of five for its effectiveness and ease of use!

I bought this because it was the newest stuff on the shelf at my local super store. We have lived in an old house for over 15 years, and I have worked over the years to get layers of soap scum off our fiberglass tub/shower from the '80s. This stuff powered through what remained plus what we had added since the last cleaning. It was not recommended for fiberglass, so I was careful about the time I left it on the surfaces. I waited the recommended max of 15 seconds. The soap scum came right off, and the fiberglass was not harmed. Definitely a winner in my book.

I have tried a variety of bathroom cleaners and this is the one I have found to be the best. I have a teen-age daughter who manages to get hair, hair product, makeup, etc. all over her bathroom sink (she will even admit it gets pretty gross). This product is great in cleaning up the mess, smells pleasant, and is easy enough to use that neither one of us really minds doing the cleaning. I can do a quick clean and the bathroom sink and counter look great and smell great.

Easy is important --- this product is definitely that!

I have been cleaning houses for over 9 years and this product is one of my favorites. It removes soap scum and hard water deposits from chrome, tub surround walls, tile, glass and stainless steel.
It does have a strong scent and makes me sneeze almost every time, but it is worth it. (I just turn on the bathroom fan)
I really dislike the foaming sprayer, so I always swap it out for a regular sprayer. It seems to distribute the product more evenly, with less waste.

If you have really bad deposits, use Lysol Toilet Bowl cleaner. (do not leave it on chrome or some other metals for more than a minute or so, as it will darken and ruin them)
Lysol Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner Value Pack, 72 Ounce

Do not use Lysol Bathroom Cleaner on unglazed or natural tile or stone. If you do, and it leaves white spots, use Old English Lemon Oil to reverse the damage. (remember: tile MAY be slippery after you use the lemon oil)

Edit: I would NOT pay more than $4 for this product, though. I can go to the store for less.

It is terrible! I didn't seen any cleaning, but smelled a strong odor in my bathroom after using this in my bathtub. It doesn't remove soap scum and the dirt in between tiles was still there, even after scrubbing.
Don't waste your money!

My bathtub/shower is relatively new from a remodel a few years back, but there was some definite soap scum build up on the glass and in the tub. This product actually ended up making my shower and tub look even worse. It left streaks and film that's almost impossible to scrub off. Before, the area looked pretty prestine, I just wanted a basic cleaning product. Now it all looks like crap. Super awesome!
