Didn't realize when I purchased this that the carrying agent for the coconut flavor is cottonseed oil, which I can taste in almost any application. In addition, since the extract is oil-based, forget flavoring sparkling water, tea, or mixed drinks with it since it will just float to the top. Didn't like it for smoothies and frozen yogurt either since you could detect the oil flavor in quantities over a fraction of a teaspoon. The price is outrageous too, considering for under $20 you could buy the supplies to make your own alcohol-based extract and have 750 mL or more. Only buy this if your planning on baking with it, otherwise stay away.

I bought this specifically to make a coconut cake according to a recipe. When I opened the bottle, I could not smell coconut. I ended up using a lot more than the recipe called for, but the cake still had no coconut taste. Also, keep in mind it is oil based so count it as part of the oil in your recipes.

We bought this for flavoring homemade coffee syrup and for baking. We were really disappointed. It doesn't taste like coconut at all, and it has a weird aftertaste.

The ingredients in this are: sunflower oil, "natural flavors" (?), dried coconut. I like to flavor my seltzer water with flavor extract and stevia. Every other extract I've purchased, I used 1/4 t. to 12 oz. seltzer water, and that has worked perfectly. I just tried this one, and I've gotta say, I can barely taste the coconut, but I can see the oil floating on the top of my drink. I wish I had read the reviews. I won't be buying this one again.

This barely even tastes like coconut, and mostly just tastes like chemicals. I use it as a flavoring in meal replacement drinks, and some of the other frontier flavors work great (maple and raspberry), but this one is just gross. If I mix only a little bit in with other flavorings, I'll be able to use it up, but I definitely won't be ordering more.

I typically use McCormick brand which is alcohol based and this is oil based which I frankly don't care for. This product is natural and a higher quality so I would say it's worth trying I just prefer what I am used to.
