I had originally bought these in medium for my golden retriever puppy. When she finished that box she had outgrown them so I bought the large. While she loves these, she devours them in no time and her breath is no better. I do not think she fully digested them either. While she was a puppy they helped with puppy breath a lot because she ate them slowly, however I would not recommend these if you have a large dog that eats things quickly.

My young golden retriever gulps EVERYTHING like a pelican. I can't give her rawhide treats because she chokes herself. Someone gave me a box of Bright Bites as a gift. The first time I gave her Bright Bites I was hesitant figuring she'd bite off a corner of the star and lodge it in her throat. But to my amazement after a few typical exited attempts to greedily bite it into chunks, she took it over to the tree, laid down, RELAXED and enjoyed it. Every Bright Bite after that has been taken to the tree and enjoyed. I just wish they weren't so expensive. I just can't afford them as a daily treat.

I have to say that out of all of the canine dental products currently on the market, these are, without a doubt, the very best. I have an 11 year old golden retriever with relatively atrocious breath. Nothing - and I mean nothing - ever seemed to minimize the foul odor. And, since she is an open-mouth breather, I've been on a mission to find a product that allows us to stay in the same room with her without gagging (OK, slight overstatement, but you get the picture). Anyhow, Bright Bites actually do the trick. She LOVES them, they don't cause gastro-intestinal upset, AND her breath in monumentally more pleasant. I highly, highly recommend this product for any Dog mom or dad in pursuit of fresh breath for his or her canine companion(s)!

P.S. My 6 year old boxer loves them as well. :)

My dog loves these dental treats. I had no idea dogs like peppermint, so was hesitant to purchase at first. Now I'm a repeat customer. I alternate these with Greenies dental treats for variety. Make sure to have plenty of fresh water handy since the peppermint seems to make the dog thirsty.

I have used britebits for quite a while. My dog likes them better than any of his other treats. At the same time they are great for his breath as well as excellent for keeping tarter from forming on his teeth. He has an extremely sensitive stomach and the totally agree with him. Many other things upset his system but these are great and never cause any digestive issues.
