I really wanted to try these noodles due to how much my coworker raved about them. Also, the fact that there are 5 different spice packets intrigued me. I had some ramen before from Southern Asia, which was phenomenal and I have been on the hunt for them ever since. Unfortunately, I don't remember the brand name and have been trying to relocate them one ramen at a time. Indomie has rave reviews on Amazon, so I thought this was worth a shot. I think though that the description for this particular flavor is slightly misleading. It doesn't really taste like spicy beef. It tastes more like gingery beef. There is a VERY strong ginger aroma if you use all the packets.

There is some heat because one of the packets is chili powder, but I think most of the flavor that overwhelms the dish is ginger. I don't mind a little ginger but the smell was really strong. I had a hard time eating this because I am not that much of a ginger fan. It's okay, in small doses. I think I will still give other Indiomie noodles a try, but for personal taste reasons I won't buy this again.

Also, I would want to note for future buyers that if you are use to preparing Western Style Ramen or Korean ramen where you just add hot water and wait, you should pay attention to these instructions. The instructions for these noodles is different. You are suppose to separately seep the noodles in hot water for 3 min. Then, you take the noodles out of the water and mix into it the 5 flavor packets. The 5 flavor packets contain various ingredients such as the chili powder, the ginger flavor, some beef oils, sweet dark soy sauce, and some other liquid.

I was told that the fried egg indomie noodle was the best, so I might get that next.

Really good, really strong flavor. Extremely strong aromatic spices. Its hard to describe the unique flavor of these, its not really hot-spicy, but its so strongly seasoned that it can still make you sweat a bit. A gingery, citrus, chile curry that just couldn't be duplicated without the Indonesian ingredients.

These are okay. I like the Indomie FRIED NOODLES 100% HALAL Mi Goreng (Pack of 30) flavor much better. They are a spicy sweet onion flavor, but these have a bit of a weird taste to them. I love the idea, but think I'll stick with the flavor I love.

All of the Indomie selections should be rated high on any scale. If people only knew the difference of quality and how any selection of Indomie noodles can make a meal all on its on accord, with or without other ingredients such as meat or vegetables, they would never go back to the brands offered on a grocery shelf.

This product is so versatile that it could become an important ingredient in many types of recipes, such as a salad dish, or possibly a casserole; it just takes a little imagination to use Indomie noodles in various dishes! And again, they are tasty and satisfying all on their own.
