I have blueberries grown in containers and I use Dr. Earth Acid Fertilizer to maintain a low pH and add vital nutrients. The package includes instructions on how much to use for various situations including containers, outdoor plants, and how to make a liquid form or fertilizer tea. When I initially used it, I just added it to my blueberry soil (1/3 pine bark mulch,1/3 sphagnum peat moss, and 1/3 organic potting soil) prior to planting and mixed it in well. I now mix it and use it as a liquid to make it easier to get to all areas of the soil. I am able to maintain an acidic pH (around 5.0) and the blueberries are rewarding me with beautiful new growth.

_Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. It has helped my plants flourish in acidic soil, blueberries, hydrangeas, etc. The product is a bit expensive but it is organic and not pumped full of chemicals. Highly Recommend.

THIS product contains the cottonseed meal, fish bone meal, Alfalfa meal, feather meal, mined potassium sulfate, kelp meal, seaweed extract that you might expect from an organic fertilizer, but then it goes one better by adding seven champion strains of beneficial soil bacteria and fungi that will help make dead dirt into the vital living earth that plants crave.

It may seem difficult to believe, but years of neglect and/or abuse can virtually sterilize soil, killing off the bacteria and fungi found in healthy soil. Dr. Earth products can help turn dead dirt into living soil that improves the health of your plants.

I have many azaleas, camellia's, rhododendrum's and Hydrangeas and have been using Dr. Earth's organic fertilizer for years. I started using Dr. Earth because it was organic and I wouldn't use any other fertilizers. I have told several friends who garden and they love it too. My plants are all much healthier and more beautiful than ever.

Excellent product although I just mix it with my soil then water it in with warm water. Making tea just seems like a lot of extra work. The microbes are activated in the soil. I can't judge how effective it is since it has been a bad season for veggies in NE Ohio. But I will continue to use it and would recommend it.

After several years of alternately adding sulfur and not adding sulfur around our blueberries, I couldn't find the kind of sulfur I'd been using and used this Acid Lovers Organic product instead. All I did was sprinkle it around the bases of the plants while the ground was still wet from snowmelt, and they LOVED it. We had new growth and lots of blueberries this year! I definitely plan on buying this mix again.
