hp laser printer toner catridge, December 20, 2008
Reference Order number T071594301013 from SuperMediaStore. HP Compatible Q2612A Toner cartridge - ST-C2612A.
Summary:
This was my first purchase from [...] through Amazon.com. Amazon.com and [...] provided my replacement cartridge at a reasonable price. I had to return the original item. It may have been damaged in shipping. The staff at [...] was easy to contact and work with for a replacement part. I received my replacement part in a couple days and it worked very well.
More details:
I received the first ST-C2612A HP compatible Q2612A toner cartridge on December 2, 2008. When I installed the cartridge today, it made a light rumbling noise, like a bearing or something that supported the roller was damaged. When I tried to print, a print error kept occurring indicating the printer would not print.
I removed the replacement cartridge from SuperMediaStore, restarted my system with the old toner cartridge and it printed. I tried the replacement cartridge from SuperMediaStore a second time, the rumble noise continued and the printer triggered a print error again and would not print. I removed the SuperMediaStore and installed my old toner cartridge and the print was fine.
I repackaged the faulty SuperMediaStore toner cartridge in its original package. I requested that SuperMediaStore send me a shipping label to return the faulty cartridge. I received the shipping label electronically that day. I shipped the faulty toner cartridge back to SuperMediaStore the next day .
I received the second toner cartridge a few days later. Installed the cartridge without any problems. The cartridge worked fine and prints well. SuperMediaStore provided excellent extra support in a courteous, timely manner to get a good cartridge replacement in the printer quickly.
Thank you. Bernard Merkle

Not again, November 25, 2008
I got this HP replica for my wife's laser printer. She put it in last week and the printer, which is only one year old, jammed up with the usual paper jam. I was not present when this happened, but she is very familiar with HP and easily removed the jam. However since inserting the cartridge from this company, the printer would not work correctly and constantly showed the amber flashing light. I am a field/deployment engineer and know my way around many different systems: from networks to cabling to printers and PC's and outside of that, automobile engines, electrical repair and more. I could not find the magic to repair the problem, even if it meant changing out some small parts. Today, I took that printer to some professionals to diagnose at and have not yet gotten an estimate.
By the way, my wife went out and bought a replacement laser made by HP, which included an HP cartridge. The first message that she received after installing the new printer software was from HP that said that their software detected that a "non HP cartridge" had been placed in the system.
Long story short, since HP is so proprietary these days, and looks at the printer cartridge as continued revenue, just as Microsoft looks at licensing as continued revenue, then why take any more chances with after market products? By the way, I also went through the reset routine with the faulty printer by pressing the stop/go buttons at the same time at start up and that did not repair the difficulty. Don't buy after market if you want peace of mind.
