This is one fun bow and arrow. You need not worry about the marshmallows hurting anyone, even if they're fired at point blank range. Everyone from the adults to the six-year olds in our family loved this toy.

We did find a couple of drawbacks. The marshmallows get jammed fairly easily, and you can't reuse the marshmallows once they've been fired. Also, the bow doesn't shoot with much accuracy, especially beyond about 15 feet. That's not to say that these negatives detract from the toy's enjoyment.

This is awesome!

We have learned to NOT use the oddly shaped marshmallows, and not to get the marshmallows HOT, that will create the sticky mess people refer too. However the entire thing is dishwasher safe.

We have found that loading the tube sideways prevents the marshmallows from getting turned sideways which will jam the bow.

I have to tell you, this is absolutely our favorite thing, what a GREAT way to get your kids active. Even our dog enjoys it, he gets excited the moment we pick it up.

I am 22 and think this is hysterical, my husband is 30, and LOVES it, and our nephew who is 14 thinks this is the greatest thing ever.

We also own two shooters, so we have frequent marshmallow battles.

I do have to say, I would not give this to small children, there is quite a bit of tension when putting the bow together, and while I do not imagine that it will come apart easily, I fear that if it did, it could cause some pain.

UPDATE: A peice broke off that keeps the suction. I was watching when it happened so I know he wasn't doing anything too rowdy with it. Fun while it lasted.

This thing is great. It was a hit at my son's sleep over. I bought generic marshmallows and did not have any problems with it jamming. The marshmallows really fly out of the thing...not vast distances but 20-30 feet.

Only negative is trying to locate all the marshmallows after they have been shot off. (I don't want ground in marshmallows all over my carpet.)

My son got one of these almost a year ago and it was a big hit. We quickly figured out it takes finesse to load the mini-marshmallows. Hold the tube sideways and slide them in letting each one push the next down the tube. Then carefully load the tube it. If the adults do the loading, it works great. If the kids do it, it jams a lot. However it is always a big hit as it really send the marshmallows a long way. BEST OF ALL, a visiting friend picked it up when the kids were having a NERF battle one day and not knowing what it was, just stuck a dart in the end where the marshmallows fire out, and let it go. It REALLY BLASTS out the NERF darts. WAY better than any NERF gun we own. You will for sure want safety glasses if the kids use it for this purpose, but it is awesome (and you don't have to buy more marshmallows.)

I bought this for a 4 year-old birthday party, and it was a blast. Some of the kids had a hard time pulling the bow string back, but with a little help they all had fun shooting the dragon. It's best to use new marshmallows. After about a week, the marshmallows are not as soft as they are when fresh and cause the bow to jam.

1/2012: This has made it through a few more birthday parties and continues to be a hit. Just remember to unstring the bow before storing it away and you should be good to go when you bring it out. I find new Jet Puff marshmallows work best. Also, don't put in squashed or oddly shaped ones... they'll jam in the feed tube or the barrel.

This is a well made toy and so far has been a big hit with my kids. I bought this for the older one and he loves it! It shoots about 20 feet with pretty good acuracy. Prior to this he had one that you had to blow into to shoot the marshmallows but he likes this one much better. If your marshmallows are getting stuck try a little powdered sugar in the barrel and they will not stick. It is definitely an outside toy. If you buy one make sure to stock up on 'ammo' since they can go through it pretty quickly and the marshmallows are not reusable. The dog really loves it because he gobbled up the shot marshmallows although we moved him away from the line of fair after he ate a couple of them. I wouldn't recommend this for small kids because the bow may be difficult for them to pull back and there are some small parts. For my younger ones I bought the marshmallow guns. It's a fun, safe way to work off some energy. I ordered directly from Amazon and received it quicker than expected. It was well packaged and in perfect condition when it arrived. I would recommend this product.

If I could give 100 stars, I would!! We purchased this for our 4 year old on her birthday for a "Brave" themed party. We bought 2 so that our 2 year old daughter would have one too. Not only did they LOVE these easy to use bow and arrows filed with their favorite treats, but after about 10 minutes, my parents (grandma and grandpa), and my husband somehow ended up playing with them, and a war of epic marshmallowy proportions broke out!!

I haven't seen my parents laugh so hard! My mom pelted my husband in the lip with a marshmallow, and he in turn pegged her in the noggin!! After the bag of mini marshmallows came to an inevitable demise, my parents very seriously told us EXACTLY what they wanted for Christmas this year! :-)

Buy a $1.00 bag of mini allows at Target, and enjoy hours of fun and stomach pains from laughing!!
If you give each each mallow a slight squeeze in the middle when you load it, they don't get stuck ever... fyi.

My kids still LOVE their bow and arrow marshmallow launcher months later, and have experienced no injuries whatsoever.

Buy it!!
