Love these boots!

I love these boots! I ordered two other pairs of boots and returned them before trying these MuckBoots. What a difference! They are smooth and seam free on the inside with nothing to rub or bite your ankle. The toe area is roomy and comfortable. They are true to size with just a little bit of room to spare. They are exactly what I wanted -- boots that I can just stick my feet in and go. Also, you can remove them hands free. They keep my feet so warm and dry. I use them to walk my dog through the wet pasture grass -- and on rainy days around the house. Additionally, they don't smell like moth balls like the first two pairs did. Five stars for MuckBoots!

comfortable but wears out too quickly

This is my third pair of these boots in 6 years. They are quite comfortable and versatile for farm work, which is why I get them. Only problem is after a year or two of use about 10 hours a week, they crack and start leaking. They are only warranteed by the Muck Boot Company for one year. They are overpriced for the quality, in my opinion. I can buy cheaper rain boots that last many years, so I won't buy these any more.

Totally Waterproof (and Muckproof!)

These boots are awesome. I purchased them to use when I work in my yard so that I could leave the dirty shoes in the garage and not bring the mud and dirt in with me. I have used them a couple of times now and they are comfortable and completely waterproof. If you are regularly in wet and dirty conditions, these will surely protect your feet.

Chafes my leg

Muck makes the most comfortable garden shoe around and that's why I've been wearing them for years. The reason their footwear is so comfortable is because it's made of a softer material. That's probably why they wear out faster. For me it's worth it, because if I can wear a shoe for 8-10 hours without foot pain I'll gladly buy a new pair every 2-3 years.

This was my first pair of Muck BOOTS. Noted a couple problems you might want to know about:
1) Runs large. I don't mind because the gaps keep my feet cool. I can wear them for hours without my feet sweating or overheating.
2) Foxtails stick to the soft upper material. Any kind of sticky seed lodges into the boot material and I have to pick them out my hand, sometimes requiring tweezers. Very time consuming. I bought this boot to keep the foxtails off of me...which is does but now they're adhering to the boot!
3) The material around the edge chafes my leg. While my feet did fine my leg did not. Didn't take long either, I could feel the discomfort of the boot scraping against my calf almost immediately. See photo. Pain got so bad I had to switch from shorts to long pants, not the attire you want to be wearing on a hot summer day. Pant legs kept pulling out of the boots (very wide at the top) so that wasn't working. Next day I went to a sporting goods store and bought a couple pairs of knee-high socks. Hiking socks are thicker so I'll save those for winter. During the summer I'll wear the soccer socks. No more chafing, problem solved. Although I look a little nerdier now.

Not as good as muck boot "hoser"

Regular Muck boot quality, but I own a farm. I couldn't get the muck boot mid hoser's I wanted due to a flaw on Amazon's web site (when you order the muck boot mid it goes to cart as the muck boot high cut). I thought I would try these boots, they are okay for the flower bed or garden, but not made for farm work. The support in the arch is not equal to the "hoser".

Not durable

These boots cracked over the toe area where they flex during walking. They had relatively light use over about 20 months. The rest of the boot was still in excellent condition but not of much use for keeping my foot dry with a hole in the top of it.

Light weight & water proof

Bought this pair as a replacement after 3 years of hard service. It was very faithful and necessary in a wet micro-climate. The elasticized material at the top nicely facilitates tucking in trousers. I just wish the traction on the sole was better, having slipped on wet grassy slopes.

Comfortable to wear

Comfortable to wear. A bit hard to put on the boots, hard to get them off. Maybe they will loosen up a bit after they have been use awhile.
