I first ordered one of these spoon rests in January of 2011 and again in January of 2012. The original from 2011 is about 1 inch wider, 1/2 inch longer and is also heavier gauge stainless steel. The new version is tiny and will not properly hold even a normal sized spatula, let alone several cooking utensils. The 2011 version of this product was quite nice, and I would have given it 4 stars (it could have been a little bigger itself). The new, shrunken version is going back to Amazon and I'm giving 2 stars.

The picture is deceiving in that I think those are tiny kitchen tools displayed on the spoon rest. It works but only holds one regular sized cooking spoon or spatula.

Updated comment: Looks like they updated the photos for this product. The original image showed three cooking utensils placed on this rest which unless they were doll size, wouldn't fit on this rest.

The shape of this spoon rest is terrific. The non-skid base works very well and protects glass stovetops from scratches. After using it for something acidic like tomato sauce, a mark can be left on the surface...even after running it through the dishwasher. Pour a little vinegar over it and it's back looking like new.

If spoons had butts, they would want to rest them in this cozy thing every night. For being stainless steel, it is incredibly comfortable for your spoons. It provides great support for the bend, and keeps your counter clean in the event your spoon drinks too much and vomits everywhere.

The only problem is when you have too many spoons and they get jealous over the one in the rest and start fighting. Otherwise, it's a great product.

Attractive, sturdy and functional. Looks great with SS range and doesn't take up much counter space but accommodates a large spoon or 2 regular sized ones. Does fine in the dishwasher.

The product picture does not do justice to the size of this spoon rest. This is a sizable unit that can easily hold 3 spoons side-by-side if you orient the rest 90-degrees from how it is in the picture.

It handles the dishwasher just great, too. No rust so far (which I have seen in some other products that claim to be 100% stainless steel).

The rubber feet that go the length of the rest ensure your countertop/stovetop do not get scratched.

Well worth the purchase.

Was pleasantly surprised at this spoon rest. I especially like the silicone that runs along both sides of the rest to help protect your countertop from scratches and to keep it from sliding around. I purchased mine to set beside my coffee maker to hold spoons for sugar and coffee creamer. Works out perfectly. Very happy with the quality and functionally of this stainless steel spoon rest.

I like this spoon rest. It accommodates wide stirring spoons and wide spatulas, which is what makes it so useful. The rubber grippers on the base keep it in place next to the stove. Looks good with my stainless kitchen appliances and accessories. Pops in dishwasher and comes out sparkling.
