I purchased this as my third model. It is by far the best. I smoke in my office/craft room with the door closed and this filters all the smoke. I am going to order more filters because the smell is bothering me. I think a new filter will help. I do wash the top with soap and water every few days.

Got the units in good order and quickly. The ashtray works, but after a month or so, the tar getting down into the rotor of the unit and it starts to make noise. Trying to figure out how to clean it, but looks improbable. Does do what it said, just needs some engineering to make it easier to clean.

Works fantastically, IF it lasted longer before it began to get louder. Yes, after a month, or so, it begins to vibrate more and get louder. This could possibly have something to do with the amount of ashes that makes it's way though, to the fan. Otherwise, it works extremely well..

Wish I had not wasted my money on this. It does suck up the smoke, but makes a very loud sound so it is not usable when watching tv or conversing. Wish I had put the money towards a better quality when I first bought.

Well, I read many reviews on this and was excited to get it. But honestly, it just seems to blow the smoke around. I don't notice any difference when it is on. Plus, after about a week, it sounds like a jet landing..I realize this review is for the filters, but they go with the ashtray.
