I walk my cat on a leash everyday, and Kittycat has been known for a big guy (he has big frame and he weights around 15 pounds), so it is hard to find a harness that fits him. To people who are thinking about walking your cat and not knowing what kind of harness to buy, you need to know that cat harness is designed differently from dog harness. The most important difference is the length of the fabric that connects the upper part of neck loop to the upper part of chest loop (the length on the pet's back, not on the chest). If that part is too short, then it is totally useless for bigger cats, mostly tom cats. I've never seen any harness makes that middle part adjustable, and that is not an exception for this particular harness either. Luckily, this harness fits my cat, so I want to provide the measurements for people who are considering buying a cat harness.

The length of the middle part on the back: 4", unadjustable. (Note that there is no fabric connecting the loops at the lower part of the body)
The length of loop around the neck ranges from 7" to 11.5".
The length of the loop around chest ranges from 11.5" to 17.5".

Update (8/27/12): today we put this harness into test - cat got panicked by the street cleaning truck while we were taking our casual morning walk and he was running for his dear life. Thank God that the harness is strong enough and fits enough to prevent him from wiggling out of it. I was able to control him and take him to a safe place. I adjusted my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars, because even without the nylon connecting the lower part of the neck loop with the lower part of the girth loop, this harness has proven to be sturdy and successfully prevent my cat from escaping and hurting himself.

We've purchased this style harness before for our cats and it's easy to put on even a squirming cat as it just snaps in place. It's secure and our cats quickly got used to wearing it and walking on a leash.

This a great cat harness. The H design is difficult for cats to get out of, but not restrictive. The material is lighter than I expected, which is good for my cats as long as it holds up. All of the parts are stitched together into one piece so you will not lose one of the bands. My cats range from 7 to 12 pounds and the 12-20" size fits all three. My boy looks so handsome in the "muddy paws" pattern.
Getting harnesses on used to be a struggle, with slipping parts over heads, fastening clasps under bellies, and clipping hooks over shoulder blades. Since my cats take walks almost every day, I would frequently just leave their old harnesses on since taking them off and putting them back on was such a struggle. This would mess up their beautiful coats. Now they stand obediently while I fasten two simple clips on the left side of their bodies, and again when I unclasp them. I am pleased with this product!
