The quick disconnect 134a fitting on this item doesn't go on easily where every other one I've used works quite easily. The gauge has a nice feature because the 'normal' range is marked with ambient temperature so when it's hot out you end up at a higher pressure than when you are at a lower temperature. Clever design using the gauge as the piercing valve for the can of refrigerant. I just wish the quick disconnect worked properly.

I purchased this item (not from this site) about 2 years ago. I used it once, and it worked fine. Today I tried to use it again and the valve assembly is leaking around the shaft. I wasted a full can of freon because once you pierce the can, and the valve is leaking, you can't remove it without dumping the entire can. I thought mine was a fluke, and was going order another one today, but after reading the other reviews I'll steer clear of this product and buy something that is better quality.

I bought one. Worked fine the last year. This year, I can't get anything through the hose. Lost a whole can of R134. If you get a cheapie, factor in the cost of a one time use (and probably the cost of a ruined can of R134).

After one use last year, this summer the gauge started leaking and I ended up wasting a whole can of coolant all over my car when the gauge decided not to hold pressure.

There are more affordable and better one time use items than this, and from my understanding this hose was suppose to last for multiple refillings.
