I ordered this pen for my daughters wedding. The guest book had a feathered broach on the front and this was an elegant compliment to the guest book stand. Daughter (the bride) and her groom really loved it.

I ordered this pen for my guest sign in at our wedding. The feather is nice - not too cheap looking for the price.
The pen wrote fine as far as I know (is not a dark ink). Its not something I ended up keeping though - I gave it to my neice.
Overall it did the job and added a nice touch to our sign in table for a less than expensive price :) It was also delivered promptly.

The pen in the picture is definitely not the one I received.

Strike 1 - The feather looks like it has been cut. The lower half of the feather has very short fronds so the overall shape of the feather was uneven.
Strike 2 - The feather also looks like it had been wet! So it was very sparse and stringy, not full and fluffy like the one in the picture.
Strike 3 - The pen is white and the feather is ivory. So the whiteness of the pen just makes the feather look dirty.
Strike 4 - The gold-ish band around the middle of the pen is a noticeably different color gold from the bright yellow gold cap at the top where the feather is inserted. Makes it look like it was made from spare parts.

I was not impressed at all, so I took off a star for each strike. It has a very fine ball point which writes (black ink) and can open at the middle to refill or change color, but that's the best thing I can say about it. So disappointing... will most likely return it.

Beautifully crafter writing instrument. Although I bought it to be part of my Halloween costume (Benjamin Franklin) it quickly found its spot among other collectibles in my glass cabinet. The stand/socket is well-made to hold the weight of the pen. Feather is good quality and arrived safely packed and undisturbed. Product highly recommended. Would recommend to others.
