I used to LOVE this scent. I had it, way back when. They have since changed the formula. Why- I don't know; I've heard the proprietors changed hands but they should have sold the original, EXACT scent, or not re-marketed it at all!
I can't say that I hate it. It's a decent scent. But the original had an 'open', and almost 'watery' note that was tempting, and alluring and damn near addicting- without being heavy or overpowering. Now, the initial aroma is tight, and sharp, and the dry-down isn't anything to rave about. Almost akin to a honesuckle, old-school Avon scent- not a good thing! The general 'essence' of the original Giorgio is there, but it's a far cry from the beauty that this iconic fragrance once hold. Lovers of the original scent: buyer beware. Others- perhaps you might like this, if you haven't had anything to compare it to but I'd still rank this as only a 'fair' perfume, comparisons aside.

I have many fond memories of Giorgio from the 80's as it was the signature scent of my best friend's mom. I never tried any on myself back then, but I was always curious about it. Recently I decided it was high time I bought a bottle for myself. I must be the biggest fan of tuberose ever - and I must love a sickening amount of rich floral notes - because I LOVE this perfume! It is a new favorite for sure! I know a lot of reviews that I have read have indicated some people's dislike for tuberose in general and for such strong florals, but I just can't get enough of this rich and gorgeous scent! I do think you need a certain amount of boldness to wear Giorgio, and while I am bold enough to wear it confidently, I would definitely recommend that the wearer use a light hand when spritzing on this beauty because it would be easy to overdo it. I love the fact that one spray in the morning allows me to enjoy this beauty for the entire day - and my day is made happier with Giorgio in it! I am never going to allow my perfume collection to be without a bottle of this in it ever again!

For years I have been trying to duplicate the fragrant tropical air of Hawaii. Georgio captures what I remember of that tropical paradise. I was in Macys one day and a woman walked by wearing a scent that brought back memories, so I asked her what she was wearing. Giorgio of Beverly Hills! I immediately bought it and have been wearing it since.

I absolutely adore Giorgio. It is definitely a woman's fragrance and not for kids or teens. I recently found three bottles in a local drug store for $5 each on clearance. I grabbed all three. I don't think they knew what they had.

OMG, I can not believe I am about to say this.

Giorgio is wonderful & so much better than I remember her. She's pretty heavy on the white florals, but she's not
girlie-girlie. She's a spry, yet refined, California woman with a backbone.

I already own Giorgio Red and Giorgio Blue, and I wear both frequently. I'm not sure why it took me so long to test
the original again. OK, maybe not-so-original, but the not-so-new formulation by P&G Prestige Beaute. (Now the
GBH brand is owned by Elizabeth Arden.) However, I do remember the intensity & sillage of the original, & the
P&G version is a whimper in comparison.
