Okay, maybe not "healthy" but they are an excellent replacement when you read the ingredients! These are not loaded with words only a scientist could love (i.e. those starting with "poly" or ending with "ose", etc.). They are free of artificial preservatives, colors, and flavorings (natural Raspberry and Cranberry used) and are prepared in a nut free bakery for those with allergies and are suitable for vegans. They are lightly sweetened and crunchy and perfect with a cup of tea or glass of milk. I am not a health food junkie, but do like to have alternatives to some of the `junk' I at times crave. They are a tad more expensive than what can be found in the grocery but definitely worth that little extra cost.

I love Nairns regular oatcakes. I know some people think they are dry and tasteless, but we use them like you would a cracker for cheese and chutney or whatever. I tried the chocolate chip Nairns cookies a long time ago, and loved them. My whole family loves them. I love berry cookies, so I gave these a try as well. They did not disappoint. Like the chocolate chip, they are thinner than the original, and are full of flavor. They're snappy and delicious. And it's nice to eat a 'treat' without all the added junk, and preservatives, and fake sugars.

Found these at a local store called Meyers. Really really wonderful cookies for tea or coffee, or when you just want a whole grain cookie with real substance, not too sweet and with a fruity chew when you bite into a berrie. The Chocolate ones are my favorite, but I cant find them much anymore.

Ok, these are dry compared to what americans are used to having as a "breakfast" cookie....but it is OBVIOUS that these are oats and when eaten with tea/coffee, it feels as though I've had oatmeal without the exploding microwave mess.
