The design is exactly as pictured. It seem a tad smaller than expected. I took a photo next to a piece of paper for comparison. The plastic is also a bit thicker than other stencils. This made it much more difficult for me to get paint to the edges to show the nice design without bleeding.

I took classes in Interior Design, Faux (technique) Painting as well as stenciling. These stencils are well made with a thicker plastic than cheaply made stencils. It's important to have thicker plastic stencils because the thinner ones can be flimsy and your work often ends up smudged because of the thin lines needed in many of your projects. Such as the thin stems of a branch or leaf. I once thought that it didn't matter until I bought a thinner stencil and began to use it; it did not stay in place and I found it difficult to hold it in place with my finger and dab the paint on, your stencil will be smudged, and you don't know this until you remove the stencil that thinner parts of the stencil curl up as well as smudge. Don't let my comments scare you if you've never stenciled before. With a well made stencil such as this it's easy to do and you can truly turn a project into a personal accomplishment. Especially if you stencil furniture easily seen in your home or kitchen cabinets. Buy stenciling brushes and stenciling tape (available on Amazon) and you can do it! No class needed. Tape stencil, pour out your colors, tap on a bit of paint and tap off the excess and tap the paint lightly inside the stencil. Take your time and go lightly. No problem to go too lightly or do out of the lines; If too light add a bit and take your time and mistakes wash off easily from the stencil. Well made stencil, it's not necessary to buy more than one of each style or shape. Dry with a cloth and you're good to start another. Try on a piece of cardboard once and have fun with an inexpensive technique that only appears difficult to do. Have Fun!

Well it would be hard to make a bad stencil. The people at Delta Creative have added another wonderful stencil tot heir collection. What I liked most about this stencil was the borders. Thin borders are great for paper projects or projects with small surface area. However, I purchased this stencil to breathe life into an old piece of office furniture. So the thick borders were perfect for using a piece of tape to hold the stencil in place along the side of the desk. The designs transferred perfectly (don't forget with all projects it is best to secure all sides of the pattern that you are using in order to avoid paint creeping underneath. I also likes how easy the paint came off of the stencil when I was done. This made for easy storage and ease of multiple use.I had this item shipped with prime and it was received in great condition (sometimes they roll them up for shipping) and quickly.

The stencils are fine. A bit thin, but enough to do the job. It's the packaging that sucked. They simply put it in a plain yellow envelope mailer so, naturally, the mailman (who did not know what was inside the plain envelope) folded it for it to fit in the mailbox. I complained. They sent me a new pair (without asking me to actually return the original pair) but the same thing happened again.

These are great stencils and one of my favorite brands to use, BUT, right after I ordered them on amazon I saw them at a local craft store for 1/4 of the cost...bummer, but they are very sturdy so oh well!
