The zabutan is not very thick and the cover is very loose, not thick and quilted as it looks in the photo. The zafu is big, but under stuffed and flattens out a lot as the sides stretch-I like to sit up higher. It was the most inexpensive set out there, guess I expected more-how can you mess up a cushion? I don't use it much because of its flatness.

The two cushions are comfortable to sit for meditation. The Zabuton cushion is not filled with buckwheat hulls. I think it's stuffed with cotton batting. I was confused by the description but it's good to sit on the way it is. I took some of the hulls out of the Zafu cushion to make it more comfortable. I would have preferred to get the Zafu with the removable cover, so it could be washed but decided I didn't want to pay extra for that feature, since this is all ready expensive for 2 cushions. The cover on the Zabuton is removable. The fabric is good quality and the seams are well done. I think the covers will wipe down if any dirt gets on them.

These Zabuton cushions are great! Easy to remove some of the buckwheat fill to adjust the firmness level and the covers are comfortable and easy to clean (love that they're machine washable).

The oval zafu is filled just enough to be firm, but not so much as to be uncomfortably so. The zabuton is nice- maybe a little lower on the quality scale than I expected- I was hoping for slightly more fill, and the tufts are made with these white strings that don't look fantastic. Overall, though, both are very comfortable and great for the price.

My wife and I purchased this set 2 months ago and still love sitting on them daily! The construction is solid, and the stitching is great. They are very comfortable for long sessions. Love this cushion & matt. Cheapest price i could find for a combo like this, for hemp & natural fibers (plus made in USA). Very comfy, also smells natural & nice. Only complaint is the fact that it took about a month longer to arrive than the company said it would. Terrible shipping. After hearing nothing from the company i e-mailed them, and they told me it was back-ordered. Would have appreciated an explanation upfront so i wasn't left wondering. Quality of product seems to be great so far. I like the fact the round cushion has a zipper so you can take buckwheat out to make it a softer feel, and a handle.

Purchased the Zafu and Zabuton from Bean. It seemed like it wasn't filled with enough filling. In fact, it seems very flat. I contacted Bean products, and told them about it. They said that it was filled to their specifications, and that I could buy additional buckwheat and have it shipped at my expense. In the future, I would purchase Hugger Mugger instead of Bean.
