OK, I have cleaned my own gutters with garden tools for 25 years. Then, at age 72 I hired a" professional" ( for over $200.!) to clean the gutters. He did great job, using these very same tools! The tools cost about 10% of what I was charged and are of very good quality and simple to use.

Now I can use these same tools and do a great job at 73 years old.

A two story house so this will give me some exercise.

Got a slightly different version of this set about 6 weeks ago from amazon. Looks like the extension pole has been changed for the better now.

In that older version, the extension pole doesn't screw together, it just "sticks with friction" and during the first use, fell apart 3 times - so the ladder had to be moved to get the disconnected parts. At length, getting the scrapper into the gutter wasn't always easy thanks to slightly longer shingles.

The bucket worked perfectly where the shingles didn't go into the gutter too far. Basically on about 15% of the gutters and only on the lower levels where it is easy. Most of our gutters are 30+ft up. They were mostly clear for this cleaning, except the downspouts were blocked for 80% of the gutters with about a foot nearby full of debris. Honestly, a pair of gloves was better to reach in and grab the debris most of the time.

After the leaves fall in a few months, I'll try again with this kit and will post an update.

Good Product! Felt that cleaning the gutters went a little quicker than previous years and didn't have to move the ladder as much - does it's job. The only negatives is I did have to tighten the pole back up a couple of times when it go a little loose. The gutter/spout filters didn't fit my downspouts. But this was a handy product, glad I got it - still hate cleaning gutters.

Initially I was skeptical of usefulness or quality: I was totally wrong!

THESE ARE GREAT!

I didn't use the extensions, but the shovel and the scraper were all I needed. Also clear is that the makers of this kit did a LOT of R&D, because these simple tools were all I needed to clean the gutters on a 2-story house. I love how the shovel was just flexible enough to conform to the gutter trough, yet strong enough to scrape out about 5 years of mud and pine needle build-up. (<--and the caked on mud was almost an inch thick in places, both dry and wet). The scraper was perfect to clean out the gutter sides and is just small enough to fit under the gutter supports. Also small enough to poke into downspouts to clear debris. I LOVE THIS TOOL SET!

The only improvement I'd suggest to the makers: holes in the handles to tie a string onto in case they get knocked off the roof while working (I'd make the string longish, and tie it to a belt loop or something on me).

I didn't find the gutter scoop to work well compared to just using my hands. The rake however works well and is well worth the money since you don't need to move your ladder around quite as much. I'd recommend just buying the rake, available separately, and an extension pole (available separately, if you don't have one). Also, I did see this kit available at Lowe's for a few dollars cheaper, so you might want to check at your local hardware store before buying from Amazon in this case (how often does that happen?).

I clean A LOT of gutters, and the idea of this device is a good one, but its design is flawed. You are supposed to be able to reach further down the gutter from where you are on your ladder and pull gutter debris towards yourself. Maybe if the debris is dry and loose it would work okay, but if the debris offers any kind of resistance, the handle comes apart! They should have designed it so that each piece screws to the next, but two of the connections are just where you slide the one into the end of the next piece. It is definitely very light duty. The gutter scoop is very handy, but mine cracked when it was accidentally dropped.
