First of all, I'm 24 and have been dealing with horrendous acne since the age of 15. I've been a long time Proactiv fan, but recently it seems like my acne has grown immune to it so I was back on the hunt to find new products. I've tried several, including some prescription ones from my dermatologist but nothing seemed to tame the acne beast within! Finally, I'm writing this review with the clearest skin I've had since I was a little girl (yes, even better than Proactiv when it was working for me!).

First, this is by far the best daily cleanser to use. It doesn't over dry which even if you have oily skin like me, is very important. Often times you won't know if your cleanser is overdrying your face because your body will produce more oil to make up for it, and then you'll have more acne!

Second, you need a good exfoliator to clean away all of the dead skin and gunk that clogs your pores to begin with. You have to be careful because a lot of exfoliators are so harsh on the skin that they can actually open up small microscopic sores that bacteria nestles inside of and creates acne. My favorite exfoliator is TreeActiv Anti Acne & Rosacea Treatment Sulfur Mask Plus Rhassoul, Bentonite Clay Mask with Witch Hazel & Aloe Vera - Refreshing Lemon Scent (1 Jar). This one leaves your face feeling o so fresh! Also, what's best is that this exfoliator also doubles as the product you need for step 4 :)

Third, a good spot treatment is needed! The standard benzoyl peroxide and salycilic acid treatments tend to stop working before you even finish the first tube so it was hard for me to find one that worked really well.Read more ›

I have dehydrated skin and tried this on a whim when I ran out of CeraVe's Foaming Cleanser for Normal/Oily skin. Surprisingly, I felt like my skin was irritated after the first try, so I went back to foaming and gave this to my boyfriend. He uses it with good results.

Without use of toner and facial lotion, this really dries out areas of my face, which I suppose shows that it's pretty effective in cleansing but I have also experienced multiple acne break outs on my cheeks that is the worst that I've ever had. This could be due to having recently changed my own personal medication, but I would imagine that if this cleanser worked really well, it would've combated the break outs a bit more effectively. For the price and the quantity, it is a good deal and I will continue to use this product until I have enough proof that it is this particular facial wash that isn't helping my break outs.

I have tried and tried to get along with this product, but it almost feels like trying to wash my face with hand cream. It never feels like a can fully rinse it thoroughly from my skin, leaving me feeling like I didn't get a full cleanse.

I have suffered somewhat with acne since I was 13, and the problem has only gotten worse with time, so I am always on the look out for a new product in case my skin "get's used" to my current process. Normally I use a 10% BP wash, but I wanted to try something new. I decided to give this a try, and have been using it twice a day since I purchased it on January 13th. At first, I enjoyed the product. Felt okay putting it on while combining it with micro abrasion crystals (for one of the two washes), and washed off easily. However, as of writing this, I have noticed that my break out's have actually gotten worse. Normally I might get a pimple a week, but since using this, I am getting a new one almost every other day. One might question my diet, but I have altered it greatly over the years. I eat more greens, go to the gym three times a week, and have cut out as much sugar and trans fats as I can. While that has helped, it seems this wash has undone all of that work, and has given me the worst break out I've had since high school (right cheek is covered, under the lip has two or three, and the lips as one or two.)
For some people, maybe it did a good job. But for me, it feels like a big step back.

was looking up online why i have oily ski, i had found a few forums where people used cerave face cleanser and it solved their problem.

I bought the two pack, i have used it for the past few days with no improvement at all, i am extremely disappointed as i never use face products as i don't believe they work.

Looks like i was right, my skin started to oil only after an hour or so, i will keep trying.

I will continue to finish off the bottles i bought, if my skin improves.

I will revise my review, If not i will leave it and never buy this product again

I've had it for a few days now and washed my face with it every night. However, in the morning I've been waking up with swollen eye lids. Sadly this isn't the first time this happened, but my dermatologist and I narrowed it down to Benzyl peroxide before - which isn't listed in the ingredient list. So I guess there is something else in this product I'm allergic to too. I have to discontinue use sadly, I was really looking forward to seeing if it could help clear my skin up and even out my skin tone.
