Product Description

Product Description

The 4x2 Component Video + Digital/Analog/Optical Audio Matrix Switcher with RS-232 is designed to work as a switcher for multiple Audio/Video sources and displays. Capable of switching Component Video, PCM, Optical and Stereo Audio signals between four sources and two displays with compatible inputs. A maximum bandwidth of 325MHz will support a sharp and highly defined video in multiple resolutions of up to 1080p. Because it is a matrix switcher, it allows any input to be routed to any output; or the same input to be routed to all outputs or any combination. It completely eliminates the need to constantly move around video input and output cables. RS-232 control allows the switcher to be controlled by a computerized system such as HTPC and in this case eliminates the need for an infrared remote control. The 4:2 Matrix Switcher works with all Video equipment that has proper connections: such as Cable and Satellite receivers, Computers, Video Scalers, DVD players, VCR's and so on. Video Amplifier Bandwidth: >325MHz Resolutions: up to 1080p Audio/Video Input Connectors: 4 sets of 6-RCA & 1-Optical (Y/Pb/Pr, L&R Audio, PCM, TosLink) Audio/Video Output Connectors: 2 sets of 6-RCA & 1-Optical (Y/Pb/Pr, L&R Audio, PCM, TosLink) Power Consumption: 500mA Enclosure type: Metal case with rack mount option included Power Consumed: 500mA Maximum Power Source: DC 12 Volts, @500mA Size(L,W,H): 19* in x 6.4 in x1.55 in *with rack mount Package Includes: SB-5526 Matrix Routing Switcher Rack Mount bracket RS-232 cable Wireless remote w/batteries Users Guide Control Software (Win only) AC/DC Adapter: 12VDC, 500mA

5.0 out of 5 stars Does An Excelent Job., December 20, 2008
This review is from: 4:2 SHINYBOW COMPONENT VIDEO+DIGITAL/ANALOG AUDIO MATRIX SWITCH
I had purchased an earlier HD componet video switcher to switch HD from 2 HD satelite receivers and A Sony Blue-ray PS3 that I had bought because my TV only Had One HD Input . That unit only worked with one of the two Satelite HD boxes the newer one. The Sony and the other box had problems with the Video breaking up. I had thought it might be due to the Satelite Box until I bought the Sony. The Store recomended better cables but that did not help. I investigated and realized that their was a difference between different Units as to Bandwidth over which they would have signal reduction. I decided to get the Shinbow eventhough it was more expensive because of it's wide bandwidth. I Have Had no problem at all with any of my 3 HD Video feeds with this Box.
I recomend it Highly.
Robert
