I am working on a very large project with some symbols that indicate "blended" threads or one,two or three of different colors. I can't put the unused thread back in the color envelopes that I use so I use the LoRan Needleholder Card for these mixed colors.

This came in so handy for a very large 14" x 20" cross stitch chart I was working on. Instead of removing the needle, winding the floss up, and then putting the needle onto a different color of floss, you just place your floss with the needle attached onto this card (which includes a magnet to hold the needle, a slit in the card to wedge the floss, and a spot to write the color of your floss) and move onto a new color with its own needle. With complex charts where you work a small portion of blue (for example) then need to work a portion of green, then white, then back to blue, you have your thread and needle ready to go for you! Huge time saver!!!!

This is only cardboard with a magnetic coating. It arrived in an envelope and was folded and broken. It looks ugly & pretty cheap. You would be much better off buying a (strip) piece of coated magnetic rubber that can be found pretty easily.

I'm starting a 100 color fractal piece and use this for the predominant color (black) so as not to take up too many slots in my Pako Floss Organizer for this one color. It's nice that they supply extra magnetic strips to place on the back if desired for attaching it to a metal board. It is made of thin card stock and won't last forever, but for me it serves its purpose well.

I find these cards to be very handy. I frequently do cross stitch using lots of colors, as many as 36. I keep a needle for each color, threaded and easy to find using these cards. I reuse them for several projects, and just change the labels as needed.
